January 2015 ipsy Review
January 2015 ipsy

Today mail haul included a nice assortment of items including my January 2015 ipsy bag!

If you aren’t familiar, ipsy is $10/month and sends its members a beautiful Glam Bag with 4-6 deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products. Their bags always have an incredible value (well over the $10 cost) and I am always amazed at how they do it.

The Package

ipsy ships via DHL Global Mail (starts out with DHL and is delivered by USPS) and took five days to arrive.   ipsy usually ships by the 10th of the month, but mine shipped a few days after that this month.  Not a big deal since I had plenty of other boxes to keep me busy.

First Look

ipsy packages all of the items inside of that month’s makeup bag.  Assuming they all fit that is.  Sometimes you will find an item or two loose in the outer envelope.

The Card

The January 2015 ipsy theme was “Fresh Start” and included the following items:

~The Bag: This month’s bag was pretty plain.  One side is blue and the other is white. It’s a decent size, but there isn’t anything too special about it.

The Bag

~BellaPierre Shimmer Powder (Whesek) ($14.99): BellaPierre must have gotten some new packaging because I almost didn’t know what brand this was. This picture isn’t the best, but it’s a nice grey shimmer powder.

~Elizabeth Mott All Over Shadow Brush ($9.99): Love this little brush!  I love that it’s pink and that it’s not crazy expensive because I tend to lose these.

~La Fresh Eco-Beauty Be Good. Good Day. Day Moisturizer ($11.76): This seems like a really big package for such a little amount of product.  It’s not a bad sized sample, but it seemed like the package was empty because it is so big!

~Pacifica Natural Mineral Coconut Eye Shadow (~$5): I love Pacifica!  I don’t think this is sold online yet, but I love the color.  I have been happy with most all Pacifica products I have tried actually.  They make good stuff!

~Velvet59 Velvet Rose Lip Gloss (Noisette) ($19): This goes on much more sheer than I would have expected.  It’s not sticky at all and was very moisturizing too.  I was really impressed by this!

All totaled I came up with a value of $60.74 for my January 2015 ipsy bag.  When I first saw my sneak peek online I was just meh on this month.  But once I received it all and got a chance to test it all out, I was very pleased with it all.  I really expected to open this up and be disappointed, but that was not the case at all!
