MissionCute, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a monthly subscription box full of cute stuff, but with a mission. Each MissionCute box comes with at least 2 items made by small-but-mighty artisans and local businesses and each month they partner with a different nonprofit to help promote their mission.  50% of the net proceeds of each box are donated to the chosen (you can vote on it) monthly nonprofit (this months partner One Simple Wish) and MissionCute also sponsors and works on a service project each month in their community.

The Box

MissionCute ships via USPS and took just a few days to arrive to me.  Boxes ship on the 15th of the month. If you subscribe before the 10th of the month you will receive that month’s box.  If you subscribe after the 10th of the month, your subscription will start the following month.

First Look

I have been totally loving MissionCute and was really happy to see this in the mailbox today. I didn’t realize that it had shipped, so it was an awesome surprise.

The Information Card

The January 2015 MissionCute partner is “One Simple Wish” and like I previously mentioned 50% this month’s proceeds will be donated to them. The mission of One Simple Wish is to empower more people to support children who’ve been victims of abuse.

Here is what the box included:

~MissionCute Mason Jar Tumbler ($22): So cute.  A pink mason jar?  What could be wrong with this? I love it!

~MissionCute Jewelry Roll ($12): This cute jewelry roll helps you keep everything organized when you travel.  It’d work great in your gym bag if you head to the gym before work too!

~“Slow Down & Enjoy Life” 5×7 Print ($9.50): Perfect.  This is going in a frame in my office asap.  I have a frame that I use for prints like these and I swap them out every once in a while or when I get a great new one like this.

~MissionCute Mint Cable Knitted Headband ($18): I tried to guess what this was and could NOT figure it out.  It was too big to be a drink sleeve, but too small to be an infinity scarf.  It made total sense when I read the information card and discovered that it was a headband to keep your ears warm!

~MissionCute Pearl Drop Necklace ($16): When I got this box I thought PLEASE let there be a necklace in here!  I really wanted to use my new necklace stand / display.  LOL.  And not only did the box have a necklace, it had a really cool one. Totally unique with some, but not too much, flair!

All totaled I came up with a value of $77.50 for the January 2015 MissionCute box.  As usual, I just loved this box.  It’s pretty much like all the cute things you can imagine on etsy in a box and delivered right to your door.

What do you think of MissionCute? If you are interested in subscribing (I believe they have a wait list) or just want to check out more / look at previous boxes, click here.  They have also just launched a Mini MissionCute box for $20/month which consists of 2-3 hang-curated items which may be another option if you aren’t ready to try the full box!
