January 2015 NewBeauty TestTube

My January 2014 NewBeauty TestTube arrived before the new year and I was looking forward to seeing if it was more like their Spring shipments (which were awesome) or more like the last few, which have just been so-so.

If you aren’t familiar, NewBeauty TestTube is an exclusive, one-of-a-kind sampling program that enables members the opportunity to try a variety of the latest breakthrough beauty products before investing in them, and then share their feedback about the products. Six times a year, for just $29.95 (plus shipping and handling), subscribers receive a TestTube filled with deluxe and full-size products from the hottest beauty brands. Members will also receive a subscription to NewBeauty magazine, delivered quarterly. I should note that this is different than QVC New Beauty Test Tube, which is a quarterly subscription.

The Box

NewBeauty TestTube ships via FedEx Smart Post and takes under a week to arrive.  I generally receive it right around the beginning of the month which is nice.

I still love the tubes that the NewBeauty uses. They are so cute!  I still haven’t quite figured out what to use them for, but I will eventually.

The Information Card

NewBeauty TestTube includes a great information book with product information, prices, details on where to buy the products, etc.  Here is what was included in the January 2015 shipment:

~Balanced Guru No-Frizz Oil ($13): I received a larger size of this in the Summer FabFitFun box which I haven’t quite finished up yet.  I am going to pass this one on to my cousins in a care package I am sending.

Balanced Guru No-Frizz Oil

~Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant ($9): This couldn’t have come at a better time.  My skin is still a mess (but getting better) and I am hoping that this will do the trick.

~Color Club Dry Ice Drops ($11): The information booklet made it seem like we were getting this and the O-60 Top Coat, but I only received the drops.  If you got this tube, I’d be curious to hear what you received?  Anyways, I like this and use quick dry drops every time I do my nails!

Color Club Dry Ice Drops

~Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk ($9): I love this stuff!  Dry shampoo is another staple of mine.  This is one of my favorite dry shampoos and, in addition to working great it smells good too.

~Eraclea Ever-Moist Lip Balm ($16): Love!  I think between my office, my purse, my nightstand and my kitchen junk drawer I have about two dozen open lip balms right now. I cannot resist them.  This one isn’t sticky at all, is creamy and I didn’t feel the need to reapply it every two minutes.  Absolutely love.  At $16/tube I will likely never buy it myself, but I’ll love every second of this one.

Eraclea Ever-Moist Lip Balm

~Chi Argan Oil Plus Moringa Oil ($19): This is completely awesome too.  It makes my hair smooth and shiny and it even protects against sun damage.

~Camille Beckham Midnight Monarch Hand Therapy ($4.95): I expected this to be really strongly scented, but much to my surprise, it is not.  I do have a nasty cold, but I don’t think my sense of smell is that off.  This wasn’t greasy and had good staying power.

Camielle Beckham Midnight Monarch Hand Therapy

~Moroccan Oil Body Butter ($13.81): This one didn’t wow me, but it does the job.  It’s not scented, so maybe that’s why I am not too into it?

Moroccan Oil Body Butter

All totaled I came up with a value of $95.76 for the January 2014 NewBeauty TestTube.  I liked this tube better than the last few, but it didn’t WOW me like the first few I received did.  But I did like it and I did think it was worth the cost, so I am going to give it another month or two.
