January 2015 PetBox Review
January 2015 PetBox

PetBox, who kindly sent me this (Premium) box to review, is a monthly subscription box for pets (dogs or cats) that allows you to select what items you wish to receive in your box!  They are (I believe) the only pet box out there that allows you to do this. You can opt to select your own items for the month or you can opt for a “Surprise Me” box where PetBox will hand-select items for you. You can opt for a dog box, a cat box, or a combination dog / cat box. I receive the “Surprise Me” Premium Dog Box to review on a monthly basis.

The Box

PetBox ships via FedEx Smart Post and took just under a week to arrive to me.

First Look

I couldn’t help but laugh when I opened this one up!  So funny!

The Card

I receive the surprise option I never know what to expect from PetBox since they select your items for you.  If you opt to select your own items you are allotted 800 points (usually 4-6 items) and are able to “shop” with your points (items are assigned point values in the store). Here is what I received in the surprise option:

~Evanger’s Dog Food – Chicken & Brown Rice Formula (~$2): I guessed at the point value on this one since I didn’t see it as a box option. The dogs love when they get different types of food so they will love this.

~Poop Happens (130 Points) ($8.82): L and I both think this is hysterical.  We are trying to make this the dogs new favorite toy so we can laugh every time they use it.

~smart n’ tasty Dog Treats (150 points) ($6.77): I’m not huge on the smell of these (although I suppose it could be worse), but the dogs love them!

~Copper’s Classics Beef Ears Dog Chew (60 points) ($6.50): Baxter saw this in the box and I swear he knew what it was.  He looked at the ear, then at me, then back at the ear.  Like open, this up for me mom!

~Piggy Twizzies Dog Chew (120 points) ($3.79): I haven’t given this to the boys yet, but I am hoping that I can snap it in half so they each can have their own.  I don’t think it should  be too hard to do.

~Dale Audrey Brushing Treatment for Pets (340 points) ($16.95): This is like a fresh breath / toothpaste in one.  You spray it on before brushing and they will have sparkly clean teeth!

All totaled I came up with an (estimated) value of $50 for my January 2015 PetBox and works out to be 800 points exactly!  I really like that you can see the point breakdown now so you can figure out exactly what you can get for your 800 points!
