Wantable, who kindly sent me this box to review, offers three different types of subscription boxes. This box is their makeup box, which includes 4 to 5 full-sized premium makeup products, hand-picked to perfectly match your preferences. They also offer intimates, fitness and accessories boxes, again customized to your preferences.  And unlike the majority of other subscription boxes, Wantable allows you to return the box if you aren’t totally 100% happy. You just go into your account, go to your order history and click “Return Items” and you’ll get a prepaid label and a full refund.

The Box

Wantable ships via USPS and took about a week to arrive this month.  Wantable ships based on your original order date, so if you first purchased your Wantable subscription on the 10th, your boxes will always ship around that date.

First Look

The first look was interesting.  I didn’t know what everything was, but it looked like a good mixture of items.

Preferences

Like I mentioned before, you can totally customize your Wantable box.  You fill out a questionnaire telling them what you Love, Like and Dislike.  You’ll get more of the things you Love, some of the things you Like and none of the things you Dislike.  It also asks about color preferences and that sort of thing.  The only Dislike I have is eyeliner and it’s been working out well for me.

The Information Card

My January 2015 Wantable Makeup box included the following items:

~Liberty Republic Spellbound Nail Lacquer Legend ($14): I was just thinking that I hadn’t done a green nail in a while, but that’s totally not true because I have green on right now!  Granted it’s a glittery lime green not a deep emerald, but it’s still green.  Anyway, this color is gorgeous and I have always been happy with the Liberty Republic formula.

~Au Naturale Loose Bronzer – Luminous ($25): The cap on my bronzer was a little loose, but luckily it didn’t make too much of a mess.  I’m always happy about receiving bronzer because unlike blush or eyeshadow it’s not nothing that comes every month.  I think this color may be a little dark right now, but it’ll work for the summer months.

~Make-up Designory Lip Gloss – Freeze ($14): I will totally admit that I thought this was blush at first. But it’s lip gloss and that’s way more fun!  The color is very sheer (which I like) and works well alone or layered with a darker color.

~Bodyography Cream Shadow – Glean ($20): How fun is this?  I absolutely love the patterns and textures of this shadow!  And the colors too of course.  A total win!

All totaled I came up with a value of $73 for my January 2014 Wantable Makeup box.  While it wasn’t my most favorite box Wantable ever, it was a totally solid box and I will use every single item in it!

Do you subscribe to Wantable?  If so, what’d you get in your box (makeup or accessories or intimates) this month? And if you don’t subscribe, what are you waiting for? There is no risk involved so why not?

Disclosure: This complimentary box was received for review purposes. All opinions are my own and no compensation was received.
