1. What kind of subscription box would you love to get that doesn’t exist yet? I don’t really know what this would be called (or if anyone would subscribe to it but me), but I want one that sends me a book, hand cream or lip balm, a little snack and some other fun item every month. In the winter they could send slippers or a throw or a mug and in the summer they could send a fun cocktail mix, a beach bag, etc. I think that would be so fun! There are tons of subscription boxes out there, but I know there are still some “untouched” categories, so what would you want to see?
2. Do you use coupons? I went on a massive grocery shopping trip yesterday and when the cashier asked me if I had any coupons I was almost ashamed that I had to say no! I used to be so good with clipping them and using them, but I so have been slacking lately. But it’s time to get back in the game!
Can’t wait to hear your answers!
I have not kept up with coupons but in the past i have saved over $120 in coupons and the end bill was only $110. It does take time and minor knowledge. but it can be very worth it. I at current have been consumed with keeping up for now tho and run in and out when I’m completely out of food. It can make for sour faces from my kiddos when the fridge is bare :/
I used to be SO good with coupons, but lately not so much. I kind of just need to zoom in and out of the grocery store as quickly as possible because my little guy just isn’t game for hunting for deals.
Clearly demonstrating how much I need a vacation and what a workaholic I am, what about a box geared toward the office but for women? An office snack, pro-women in boardroom type stuff, great accessories that we can wear to work, etc. Most boxes are geared towards moms, which is great (I am a mom!) and I use a lot of my PopSugar MustHave stuff for the office, some GoldenTote and StitchFix can go to work too and of course some makeup (but not the shimmery or glitter) can go to work. But something specifically for the career-minded or working moms would be super awesome.
PS – My 5 year old adds that she would like a stuffed animal subscription box. lol.
That would be a cool idea for a box! Some of the nail polish colors, jewelry, etc. sent in subscription boxes would not have been cool in my office at all!
I think my 6 year old would subscribe to that too!
I love the idea of a working womans box!
1. My older son wants a cool teen box. Maybe a hygiene item, shirt, DVD, small gift card and some other fun item. I would like to see an inexpensive book club that is genre specific. Or if I could totally dream – a hair and skin care box designed for curly/wavy hair with all items being safe for people with rosacea. No parabens, sulfates, witch hazel (can be bad for rosacea) etc.I wouldn’t have to give away so many beauty products!
2. I haven’t used coupons as much as I used to and need to get back into it again. I used to save a lot of money using coupons on items we used. It does take time to do that.
There is a serious lack of boxes for teen boys. If you aren’t into geek / gamer stuff, you are kind of out of luck.
1. Ooooh one of the other readers commented that an office mom box, that is awesome. I want that. But one that I would not mind getting is a beauty box that specialized in different time periods. Cause I LOVE make up from the other decades and it would be really neat if they sent products and looks from those time periods monthly or quarterly whatever.
2. I use coupons seriously. I am no where near the extreme couponer status. But I have an MPerks account, Target Cartwheel, I read the circulars and coupon pages weekly to find out where to do my shopping for the week.
That would be fun! A throwback box!
(1) I would like a vegetarian food box that is NOT vegan. I am not a vegan. I eat eggs, dairy, and honey. I am tired of having to get vegan boxes or deal with meat products. (I’m a little angry about veganism in general because my favorite restaurant recently went all vegan and now the food is not good anymore and I can’t go back there.)
(2) No, I don’t usually use coupons. I don’t buy much processed food and most of the stuff I see coupons for is stuff that I don’t want anyway. The exception is that Petco seems to send a lot of coupons for the food I feed to my dog, so I do use those.
I’ve been seeing more produce coupons before. Still not a ton, but it’s getting better!
1. I’d love a box similar to what you are describing! Something that’s a generic “relax” type box. There’s plenty of makeup/beauty/clothing boxes so I’d love to see something else. I also love the idea of an office mom/busy mom box – really items for any woman who is on the go. Simple beauty products, items that have multiple uses…
2. I try to use coupons but I’m not as good with it as I should be.
I rarely buy anything without a coupon if at all possible. For online shopping I hit RetailMeNot and Ebates for codes and cash back. For grocery shopping I like Coupon Mom, and for Target & CVS I love Hip2Save. The last two do the matching for you (coupons to sales) so you only have to print or cut out the coupons and the list and hit the stores. Hip2Save also has a daily recap of great deals at many other stores. I get such a kick seeing how much I can save.
I absolutely love Hip2Save. Colin is the best!
1. Right now I have too many boxes to choose from, so i don’t have an answer for that one.
2. I am a very serious couponer. I even have a stockpile, but not anything like you see in the shows. I stock up on home goods – laundry detergent and fabric softener, shampoo/conditioner, paper goods (paper towels and toilet paper), baby wipes, diapers, body wash, etc. It saves me TONS of money and allows me to not work and stay home. I’ve been couponing for years, so my stockpile in those items is pretty significant.
That said, I’m very picky about what my family eats, so I don’t coupon for foods often as many foods with coupons are heavily processed. But when I can save on food I buy with coupons you better be that I use them! I also shop with grocery store circulars and only buy what’s on sale that week.
Targent also has great deals to be had with coupons. There’s a blog just dedicated to saving at Target, you should check it out. Totallytarget.com I think you’d like it! 🙂
I want to see your stockpile! I like TotallyTarget! I have been reading them for ages! Before my youngest came along, I had a giant diaper stockpile. I think it lasted me 18 months or so!
Here you go! After taking these I realize that I need to tidy it up, LOL. But yeah, couponing has saved me a lot of trips to the store and money (at least for basic goods). Now that my sons here I don’t coupon as much, only when I see a really great deal!
Nice!!! I actually ran out of wipes a few weeks ago. I was almost ashamed I didn’t realize my stockpile was gone!
Maybe you Should have you own subscription box service like MSA, because what you just subscribe is the kind of box I want! LOL
LOL! Maybe someone will read this and make the box for us!
I want a box for Anglophiles. There’s more than one France box already, but the closest thing to an England box was when Escape Monthly chose London, and they really blew it.
A friend of mine in the UK put together such a cute little England box for me!
1. I couldn’t think of any ideas, but I love the ones that other people are saying! A woman’s office box would be great & your book box would be great, too!
2. I used to coupon a teeny bit, but I don’t at all anymore.
I am loving reading everyone’s ideas!
I think someone should make an Italian version of FrenchBox. That would be awesome!
That would be awesome!
I’d subscribe to a low/no sodium food box! My boyfriend needs to limit his sodium intake to avoid being put on blood pressure meds and it’s pretty hard finding good snacks (and meals!) that are appropriate AND taste good.
I use coupons when I have them. I don’t really clip them much though unless it’s a super deal. I pretty much load all the Fry’s (Kroger) coupons onto my card.
When online shopping though, I always look for a coupon code AND ebates.
A low sodium box would be awesome!
1. It sounds silly, but I would love a box that catered to teachers. It would be great to get new products, office supplies, and/or books (children’s and resource) to use within the classroom.
2. I do coupon. I am definitely not an extreme couponer by any means but I can’t remember the last shopping trip I had without coupons!
There are a few teacher boxes, but I don’t know much about them!
1> oooooh this is a good question: 1> a box that specialized in makeup/jewelry/accesories for redheads. 2> a box that specializes in cute animal items…like “all woodland creatures” and then the next month “all hedgies” and then the next month “all pandas”; 3> I’d love it if etsy or modcloth did their own boxes…like popsugar type boxes…not “let’s liquidate our back inventory mystery box” but actually curated boxes from their retailers.
Great ideas!!!! I would love an etsy box!
I love the idea of a working womans box (or at least one month of it as Popsugar really does cover the rest). I also like your idea of a relax a month box with a book. I really like Powells Bookstore monthly or every six weeks book club.

YoYou get a signed first edition book but they will send extras which could be anything from chocolates , tea, coffee, tote bags, honey or, for one book that dealt with the ocean, sea salt! Seriously cool subscription, alas they aren't open for new subscribers right now.
1) With all the regional boxes out there, I don’t know why there isn’t a California specific one. All my favorite local brands wind up in sub boxes… why can’t I get them all at once?
But my ideal box would give me like a coupon code for an audio book, a repeatative/easy knitting pattern, yarn to make the pattern and like some drink or snacks. My two favorite hobbies- reading and knitting- are in direct competition with each other and Audible feels too expensive to me, but somehow if it all came together I might feel better about the cost.
2) I only use coupons at Joanns, honestly. And I ONLY shop there when I have awesome coupons. Everywhere else.. I’ll choose a brand on sale over one at full price, but I don’t clip coupons and I almost never go to more than one store looking for deals.
Ohh, a CA box would be awesome! I can’t believe there isn’t one yet either.
My mom always gets annoyed when I don’t use a coupon at Joanns! I always forget to save them. Now Bed, Bath & Beyond? I can’t step foot in there without a purse stuffed with coupons.
