Citrus Lane February 2015 Subscription Box Review
Citrus Lane February 2015

Our other February 2015 Citrus Lane box arrived yesterday.  I get a box for WB who is 2.5 (that’s this box) and one for a 4.5 year-old boy (you can check out that review here).  I like the variety between the boxes and I can’t pass up the deals CL offers on these boxes.

If you aren’t familiar, Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription box for babies from 0 to 5 years old which contains four or more products selected especially for the age and stage of your child. Citrus Lane is $29/month, but they always have great coupon codes that let you try them out very inexpensively!

The Box

Citrus Lane ships via FedEx Smart Post.  They used to ship out of California, but it appears that they now ship out of Las Vegas.  It still took about a week to get my box, but I thought I’d note the change.

First Look

I basically knew what was in this box, but I couldn’t remember what I selected for the customize option. I was happy (surprised) when I realized which it was though.

The Information Card

The February 2015 Citrus Lane included the following items for those long winter days:

~Zoo Snack Pack Set from Skip Hop ($12): This was the item we were able to customize this month.  I knew I had picked something, but couldn’t quite remember what. Turns out it was the Bee!  It’s so cute.  I love it.  And not only does WB enjoy snacks from these (we already have the monkey and the dog), I do too.  I love that the littler one has a handle.  Makes it so much easier to take in the car.

~Puzzle Wheel from Mudpuppy ($10.79): Super cute, but I didn’t think it was the best choice for an almost three year-old.  It seems a bit easy.  We’ll use it for now, but it’s not going to hold his attention for too long.

~Skip through the Seasons from Barefoot Books ($6.99): Cute book, but we already have one.  It arrived in the February 2014 Citrus Lane box for a 3.5 year-old boy.  It’s a totally different age group than the one WB is in, so it wasn’t in HIS box in the past, but we still already have it.  I’d be curious to know how many people end up with duplicates like this because they get boxes for two children in the family.

~Yummy Earth Sour Beans ($3.34):We received these in our other CL box this month as well. I may not need two of the same books, but my boys don’t mind having duplicate sets of snacks.

All totaled I came up with a value of $33.12 for the February 2015 Citrus Lane box.  I wasn’t overly excited about this one and felt like it was a bit on the young side for WB.  Had they thrown in a little mom gift (nail polish, hand cream or lip balm), my feelings may have changed on it though.  This age group just didn’t have a wow factor this month for me.

Did you get a Citrus Lane this month?  What age did you get and what came in your box?  If you are interested in subscribing, click here and use coupon code “SEUSS” to get 30% off your first box plus a FREE Dr. Suess Mealtime Set (an $18.50 value)! This offer expires on 2.28.15 and you will be enrolled in a monthly subscription (which you can always cancel if you are not happy), but it’s an amazing way to try them out!
