Mission Cute February 2015 Subscription Box Review
Mission Cute February 2015

MissionCute, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a monthly subscription box full of cute stuff, but with a mission. Each MissionCute box comes with at least 2 items made by small-but-mighty artisans and local businesses and each month they partner with a different nonprofit to help promote their mission.  50% of the net proceeds of each box are donated to the chosen (you can vote on it) monthly nonprofit (this month’s partner is RAINN) and MissionCute also sponsors and works on a service project each month in their community.

The Box

MissionCute ships via USPS and took just a few days to arrive to me.  Boxes ship on the 15th of the month. If you subscribe before the 10th of the month you will receive that month’s box.  If you subscribe after the 10th of the month, your subscription will start the following month.

Second Look

I went into this one totally spoiler-free and I was just about in the same place when I opened up this box!  I couldn’t see much of anything really.  I always love MissionCute so I had high hopes for this one too.

The Information Card

The February 2015 MissionCute partner is “RAINN” (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) and like I previously mentioned 50% this month’s proceeds will be donated to them. RAINN is the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization and created and operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline.  They also carry out programs to prevent sexual violence, help victims and ensure that rapists are brought to justice.

Here is what the box included:

~Geometric Layered Necklace ($29): I had a hard time getting this to lay right for a good picture but it’s really neat.  To me it’s like three necklaces combined into one.  I love that the chains don’t all line up perfectly and think that the little coin on the side is awesome.

~Live Beautifully Berry Lime Green Tea Lip Balm ($6): This smells incredible.  It came in a little plastic bag and I just couldn’t believe how amazing it smelled when I opened the bag.  It’s awesome.  Totally great lip balm!

~“You are so LOVED” Print ($14): I am going to work on my gallery wall for in my office this weekend and I am thinking about having one or two 5×7 frames that I can easily swap out for new prints like this.  It will keep things fun and it’ll always look different which I like.

~Sugarfina Sweet Lips ($2.50): Sugarfina makes some of the best gummies.  The lips come in Watermelon, Strawberry and Bubble Gum, but I don’t think I had a Bubble Gum one in my pack.  If I did, it was one that L had because I don’t recall that flavor.

~Candelles “Hearts on a Mission” Soy Candle ($12): These candles are hand poured and are a special collaboration with the folks at Candelles this month.  The scent is beautiful (it’s a mixture of hyacinth, lily of the valley, violets and wild jasmine) and the mini mason jar is too cute.

All totaled I came up with a value of $63.50 for the February 2015 MissionCute.  As usual, I feel like they have accomplished their mission of sending a box full of cute this month.  They have great taste and pick so many of the same things that I would select for myself!

What do you think of MissionCute? If you are interested in subscribing or just want to check out more / look at previous boxes, click here.  They also offer a Mini MissionCute box for $20/month which consists of 2-3 hang-curated items which may be another option if you aren’t ready to try the full box.

Disclosure: This complimentary box was sent for review purposes. As always, all opinions are my own and no compensation was received.
