PetBox February 2015 Subscription Review
PetBox February 2015

PetBox, who kindly sent me this (Premium) box to review, is a monthly subscription box for pets (dogs or cats) that allows you to select what items you wish to receive in your box!  They are (I believe) the only pet box out there that allows you to do this. You can opt to select your own items for the month or you can opt for a “Surprise Me” box where PetBox will hand-select items for you. You can opt for a dog box, a cat box, or a combination dog / cat box. I receive the “Surprise Me” Premium Dog Box to review on a monthly basis.

The Box

PetBox ships via FedEx Smart Post and usually takes about a week to arrive to me.

First Look

I didn’t recognize anything in the box which I was happy about and Baxter and Buddy could smell something in the box which made them quite pleased!

I receive the surprise option I never know what to expect from PetBox since they select your items for you.  If you opt to select your own items you are allotted 800 points (usually 4-6 items) and are able to “shop” with your points (items are assigned point values in the store). Here is what I received in the surprise option:

~Old Mother Hubbard’s Bits & Love – P-Nuttier (~$5) (50 points): A little late for Valentine’s Day, but the dogs don’t care!  They were happy to gobble them right up.

~Pet Greens Treats ($7.73) (180 points): These treats are the dogs favorites from this box!  They are little pieces of jerky and are made with 90% real meat with wheat grass.

~Zippy Paws Crinkle Dragon Fly ($5.49): I thought this was a fish, but a Dragonfly makes much more sense!

~Super Premium Evanger’s Beef Dinner ($1.50): I haven’t give this to Baxter and Buddy yet, but they are obsessed with canned dog food.  They rarely get it, so it’s a HUGE treat when they do.

~Petstages Large Dental Twist ($11.57): This is huge so I passed it on to my brother for his dogs (they are much bigger than mine). It’s super sturdy and very heavy and seems like it’ll last for ages,

~Topsy Turvies Hippo / Snail ($6.80): Both the dogs and the kids have been playing with this one.  They’ve been pretty rough with it and they haven’t ripped it yet, so that’s a good thing.

All totaled I came up with an estimated value of $38.09 for the February 2015 PetBox. I couldn’t do a point breakdown on this one because not everything was available on PetBox, but I included the ones I could!
