First Look

I purchased the “Happy Snacker”- The Classic box and, as usual, it was jam packed with snacks.  UrthBox doesn’t include a detailed information card, but my February 2015 Medium “Happy Snacker” box contained the following items:

~Nothing But Granola Cookies: These cookies are 100% natural, non-GMO and contain no gluten ingredients.  They are good, but I think I’d prefer chocolate chips instead of cranberries ;).

~Coconut Organics CocoBacon: These are toasted coconut chips that taste like bacon – there isn’t any actual bacon in them. B liked them and I liked them better than actual bacon, but that isn’t saying much since I don’t love bacon.

~Crispy Fruit – Cantaloupe: These are freeze-dried cantaloupe slices.  They actually remind me a bit of astronaut food.  I actually need to find some astronaut ice-cream for the kids.  My brother and I used to LOVE trying it when we were younger.

~Pork Clouds: B loves Pork Clouds and was thrilled to see these in the box. I think he’d be okay with getting these in all the snack boxes.

~Purity Organic Watermelon Strawberryade: I was really surprised at how much I liked this!  It tasted delicious and the combination between watermelon and strawberries was amazing.

~thinkfruit Pineapple Tidbits: I don’t love dried pineapple, but L does so these are all him!  He and WB like it when I make them a snack plate with bunch of different snacks on it, so I will throw these on there next time.

~Little Bread Hen Flatbed Crackers: I’ve had these a few times before in those GoPicnic boxes and I liked them. They are even better with some of that spreadable cheese on them!

~Copper Cowbell Cheese Cinnamon Cream Cheese: I am going to put this on one of L’s bagels this week!  He loves bringing mini bagels as snacks for school and I liked to try and put different things on them when I can.  I have to pack him 2 snacks a day (plus lunch), so plain cream cheese gets boring after a while.

~Unreal Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup: These are SO good!  Seriously, if you haven’t tried Unreal Candy yet, you should. I actually haven’t seen it as much lately in the stores as I used to, but it’s still just as good.

~Nunes Farms Sweet Chipotle Almonds: For sure a B item. I love the smell of almonds, but not so much the taste.

~Purps Vita: This drink mix is a blend of six purple super fruits (organic mangosteen, maqui berry, açaí berry, blueberry, grape and blackberry).  You can dump the mix into a bottle of water and take it with you to go.

~Bounce Natural Energy Ball: I have to say, I didn’t love this.  And it’s really not a ball (not that it matters) – it’s like a half ball.  I think I would like it if it was a different flavor though.

~Bakery on Main Gluten Free Granola: I wasn’t thinking I would enjoy this combination of items, but I really did.

~Oskri Crunchies Pecan & Raisin: These were a bit more dense than a cereal would be and would be a nice mid-morning snack.

~Made Good Strawberry Granola Minis:  Ohh, I love these!  They are fabulous.  I was checking out the website and it looks like they come in a chocolate banana flavor too.  I need to find those asap!

Do you subscribe to UrthBox?  Have you been happy with your subscription so far?  I like the snacks they send, but I am still planning on switching to one of the smaller boxes.  I think I said that last month as well, but I never got around to it!  It’s happening this month for sure. If you are a new to UrthBox and want to sign up, you can use the coupon code “CRUNCHWEEK” to save $10 off your first month!
