The Box

bluum ships via FedEx Smart Post and generally takes about a week to arrive.  I generally plan on receiving it during the second half of the month.

First Look

I can’t remember when bluum got this tissue paper, but I think it’s a fairly new thing and it’s pretty cute.

The Information Card

The card included in the bluum box doesn’t include product information. Rather, that information is sent to you in a e-mail on the day that you receive your box (although I haven’t gotten anything on this one yet) and it appears in your account online as well (mine isn’t showing there yet either though).  WB’s March 2015 bluum box was for a 39 month-old (*) and included the following items:

~Baby Legs Socks ($5): Socks may not be exciting for a kid, but I LOVE when they come in subscription boxes.  Where do all the socks in our house go?  I have no idea, so I always need more.

~Eco Vessel Bottle (Blue with Fly) ($16.95): I will take all of the socks AND all of the water bottles too!  LOL.  I just posted about my love for water bottles for me in my Little Lace Box review, but I love them for the kids too.   This is 100% stainless steel and the straw looks to be super sturdy which is important since WB chews on them.  Time will tell, but I think it will last.

~eeBoo Floating Robot with Dog ($5.95): I thought (was hoping) that this was some sort of craft, but it’s a decoration. I have no idea what we will do with it, but I showed it to WB and he said it was cute.

~A Wolf’s Tale by Eva Montanari ($4.99): This is the wolf’s spin on the Three Little Pigs story.  I thought the story was cute, but the illustrations I didn’t lobe.  They seemed a little too old for the age group this book is for.

~Welda White Mallow Diaper Rash Cream ($15): A product information card would be idea right now because diaper rash cream?  In a pre-K box?  What?  I am not sure if I was supposed to get this product or another one in it’s place.  If my e-mail with product information doesn’t arrive in the next day or so I am going to shoot them over an e-mail about this.

~Coupons: This box also included coupons for Kidoodle!TV and HelloFresh. The HelloFresh one is for new customers so we won’t be able to use that, but I will look into the other one.

All totaled I came up with a value of $47.89 foe the March 2015 bluum box.  I need to find out what the story on that diaper rash cream is before I really know how I feel about this box.  I tend to believe it’s an error and should have been something else, but we’ll see! I will update this when I figure it out.

(*) It’s a long story, but we used to get bluum ages ago when they just did those smaller sample sized boxes for 0-12 month olds. When WB was about 9 months, bluum launched their current box for ages 1+ and was still doing the sample boxes for babies 0-12 months old. I wanted to check out the new, bigger boxes for WB, so I aged him up a few months so he was 1. And he’s still aged up!

My prek box also had the diaper cream.

Did you think it was odd? I just got my e-mail with the product details and it did indeed have the Diaper Cream on it!

I like your box better. Mine was for a 33 month old and we received two pairs of socks (came together in packaging), two books, a book with a dry erase marker (okay we love books but 3 is too many especially when it’s the bulk of the box) and I received face wipes (which I’m always happy with). I also aged E up about 6 months but I’m sure she would have gotten the same box either way. I estimated my value at only $33ish dollars but I did get my subscription at $18 a month so it’s not a bad deal, just too many books in one box!
