Hazel Lane February 2015

Today was an absolutely fabulous mail day and included the arrival of my February 2015 Hazel Lane box. If you aren’t familiar, Hazel Lane sends a carefully curated box of surprise goodies from that month’s selected city that they think represents its spirit.  The idea is to give you an affordable way to explore the world without having to leave your house!  Items you can expect to see included are food, drink, clothing, accessories and handcrafted items chosen by locals with the environment, social responsibility and CHICNESS in mind. I subscribe to the “Classic” box which is $46.99/month.

The Box

Hazel Lane ships via USPS Priority Mail.  Boxes always ship at the end of the month, but since they use Priority Mail they arrive quite quickly.

Second First Look

I was totally spoiler free for this box!  I didn’t exactly want to be spoiler free, but I couldn’t find any details about this box.  The first look was very promising though and it looked jam packed.

The Information Card

The February 2015 Hazel Lane box destination was “Colorado” and included the following items:

~Paykoc Hammered Copper Mug ($20): I love this!  B does too actually.  Moscow Mule mugs are so “in” and really hoping I will be able to trade for enough to make a set of 4.  Otherwise I will just have to order some because these are just too fabulous.

~Urban Bird and Co. Big Dipper Pillow Case ($15): This pillowcase is 100% cotton and is made with water-based ink. The idea is to sleep under the stars any time of the year.

~Honeyville Honey ($8.95): This whipped honey is fantastic!  It comes in lots of flavors and I think whipped honey better than regular honey.  This company also has a caramel honey sauce which I am guessing is absolutely amazing.

~Heritage Lavender Sachet ($4): Lavender is the “scent of Colorado peaks”.  I am going to put this in the boys bathroom.  Because, well, it smells like a boy’s bathroom ;).

~Celestial Seasonings Tea + Chapstick ($2.99): I didn’t know that Celestial made chapstick!  I don’t like tea, but I do LOVE chapstick.

~Kelsey M Designs Arrow Print ($15): OMG how gorgeous is this print?  The colors are even more vibrant in person.  This will likely end up on my Gallery Wall the next time I switch a few things up.

~Bonus: Roots Magazine: If you are visiting Colorado, this seems to be a must have.  It’s got all of the information you need on Colorado breweries, crops, hot spots, etc.

All totaled I came up with a value of $65.94 for the February 2015 Hazel Lane box. I loved this box!  It had so many unique finds in here and  am certain I would have picked a few of these items up on my own if I went to Colorado! What do you think of Hazel Lane? If you are interested in subscribing or want to learn more, click here.  In addition to the Classic box (the one I subscribe to) which is $46.99/month, they offer a Deluxe Box ($69.99/month), an Uber Deluxe Box ($114.99/month) and a G5 Box ($179.99/month).  The March Hazel lane destination is Arizona, which I don’t believe has ever been done by a subscription box company so I am looking forward to seeing what it includes.

Check out tjmaxx for the mule mugs. I got a set of 4 on clearance there last month. I love a Moscow mule, yum!

I really wish I could afford this box. It’s much better than Escape Monthly, which is very food heavy, and I wouldn’t have to try to get rid of useless travel guides.
