First Look

I knew what the box contained, but I didn’t know variations I would receive for all of the items so I was really excited to open it up and see what I received.

The Information Card

The March 2015 Little Lace Box theme was “Here comes the Sun” and included the following items to get ready for those warmer days while nourishing your mind, body and soul:

~Kate Spade Water Bottle ($29.99): Ohh, I love this!  I love water bottles and the cuter the better. I was actually just looking at glass water bottles at the store over the weekend but just wasn’t sure about buying one.  I guess that decision has been made for me since this is glass.  I have seen blue, gold and pink bottles being sent out and while I love the pink I received, I would have been cool with any of those.

~Cali Baronessa Olivia Hair Cleanser (Shampoo) & Hair Masque (Conditioner) ($31.99): This is a totally new to me brand. I used to splurge on shampoo, but now I generally just buy whatever smells good at Target.  But that’s not to say that I don’t appreciate fancy shampoo. Because I do. I just don’t love the price tag!  Anyway, there were two versions of this sent out.  Torocco is made with Sicilian Red Orange Extract and Olivia (which I received) is made from Olive Oil. I wouldn’t call Oliva a strong scent, but it’s luxurious and nice. Again either of these options would have been okay with me and I am exited to try it out!

~All-Natural Urban Spa Sea Sponge ($13.99): Urban Spa’s sponges are “renewable resources that are sustained through responsible harvesting practice”. They are also supposed to last longer than your typical pouf or whatever because they are unbleached.  I’m happy to make the change from my normal BBW pouf and it could end up being a change I make for good.

~12×12 Gallery Wrap Mounted Canvas Print ($51.99): According to a post on Facebook, Little Lace Box will be e-mailing customers a coupon code for the LLB Shop to redeem their canvas (one you have your code you can redeem it here).  The coupon code covers shipping and you can select any print you choose to get printed. I don’t know what picture I am going to use yet, but I love canvas prints and will certainly use this.

All totaled I came up with a value of $127.96 for the March 2015 Little Lace Box.  I will use every single thing in this box and I love it!  I think they do such an amazing job with their curation and send a lot of brands I love (or that I end up falling in love with).  I am going to work my hardest to trade for that gold water bottle too.  And maybe the blue as well..

April Little Lace Box Theme

According to the information card, the April 2015 Little Lace Box theme is “Nonna’s Kitchen” and will include things for you and your kitchen.  The card indicated that after the February box (from the sounds of the information card they got quite a few e-mails about peoples likes and dislikes from that box) they wanted to curate a box that everyone would love.  The card says that everyone has to eat and the box is inspired by their two grandmothers and their love for food ;).

What do you think of this month’s Little Lace Box?  If you are interested in ordering when they open their subscriptions back up (I’ll post as soon as they do) or just want to learn more, click here!  ETA: According to an e-mail just sent out, LLB will not be opening up subscriptions for April. They want to make sure they have all of the issues with their new site (point transfers, billing issues, etc.) 100% correct before they take on any new subscribers.

Yes!!! Let;s trade! What are you In Search of? If I don’t have it, I will find it for you!!!

      1. brandi

I’m not really in search of anything particular. Do you have a list somewhere or anything to offer? The only things I’d really avoid are makeup and skincare items.

  2. Callie

Love it! I got the pink and will trade for the gold if anyone is interested! 🙂

  3. lisad

So escorted got my box todaY. I got the gold water bottle and I love it! Same shampoo set as you, can’t wait to try it out. I love LLB

  4. lisad

Lol Excited I meant, silly auto correct….

  5. Samantha

I love LLB so much but I splurged for an annual sub in the very beginning and I’m glad I did because I just got an email saying that they won’t be opening monthly subs for April either. Still too many links to work out with the new website. Fine with me and I appreciate that they don’t do things halfway, but I’m sure some people will be disappointed.

  6. Katie Sparks

This was such an amazing box! I am so excited for the canvas print. I have wanted to print one of our wedding photos out on canvas and this gives me the opportunity to do so.

I cannot wait to see what next month’s box will hold! Kitchen goodies sound good to me 🙂

  7. Nora

I think this was a very thoughtful box I loved everything I got. I read some negative reviews on MUT I think these ladies a really working at making this a great box and willing to accept the negative to improve the next box. It up as one of my new favorites

I thought their letter was hilarious too. “So you ladies hate earrings, lavender, etc etc etc etc..”
So they added other things instead.. and still people are complaining.

I think these poor girls can’t win. They have such interesting and new items, things I have never seen before in other boxes. Granted, yes I have about 50 water bottles from sub boxes.. but not glass gold glitter amazing Kate Spade ones. 🙂

      1. Melissa

The letter was totally hysterical and I’m so glad you pointed it out because I actually didn’t read the “spoiler” for next month until you mentioned it. Just wanted to quote because it’s still making me giggle: “After the ‘perfect storm’ that was February, we wanted to curate a box that everyone would love. Sure, it was painful, but we now realize that half of you hate lavender, and the other half hate earrings, and everyone hates gold, while some of you don’t like baths or use lotion.” Poor things, now they’re going to learn that half of us don’t cook and the other half can’t eat.

This is why I love the readers here. So reasonable. I am always astounded by the outlandish comments I see about these darn boxes. I am starting to think people are just in a competition to see who has the most ridiculous complaint, lol. “oh em geee…the jokes in this letter are so meeeaaan!!”

I received the blue water bottle. I can’t wait to try the Olivia shampoo and conditioner tomorrow. The boys are going to help me pick out a picture for the canvas print. I wasn’t sure what I was going to use the sponge for until I read the letter and saw the suggestion for using it to take off masks. Perfect! I’m happy with my items.

  9. Alexis

I got the gold sparkle water bottle and the very juicy blood orange smelling hair products!:)

  10. Jessica G

I got the blue bottle and the blood orange shampoo. It smells AMAZING. I was so excited to take the sponge into the shower with me last night (I must admit, it was really nice), that I forgot to take the shampoo.

While nothing about this box really blew me away, I’m happy overall. I am excited about the canvas print. We are leaving for China tomorrow and I’m foreseeing a picture of us in front of the Great Wall hanging soon. 😀

  11. AR

I love this box. I wish I had gotten this box. This box is very well curated. And I am amazed how fast the box is shipped. I also think it shows extra consideration that they send matching full size shampoo and conditioner together.

  12. Alicia N

Has anyone got the email with the canvas print code yet? I cancelled my subscription and now am worried I wont receive the code…

Does your water bottle open? I know that’s an odd question, but mine will not. I filled it with water and the thing will not open. After 3 very strong men twisted with every thing they had, even trying to break it couple not open it. One finally got it to come off, we then dumped the water out and LOOSELY put the top back on and sure enough, its stuck again! I have still not gotten it to open? Anyone else have this issue or did I get and odd faulty one?
