Today I’m Smiling Because…
~My Spartans won! Sure it’s going to be a rough game tomorrow, but it’s March and anything can happen. #gogreen
~We ordered Plated this week for the first time in forever and dinner last night was so good. I’d forgotten how much we loved Plated.
~99.9% of the snow around here has melted! Bring on the green grass!
~I’m still smiling about L’s report card and good Parent-Teacher Conferences. Â And I am also smiling because he’s flat out happy at school and is a good friend to his classmates.
~WB did okay (not good, but not awful either) at his first movie! Also, you need to go see Cinderella. It’s a fantastic movie.
~An old college friend of mine had a healthy baby boy this week!
~We hit up the playground the other night after dinner and had a ball. Â Sometimes it’s the little spur of the moment activities that turn out to be the most fun.

My husband and I LOVE Plated! We made that same dish (the braised chicken with the gnocchi) two nights ago and it was awesome. We actually order from either Plated or Hello Fresh (which we also really like) 3-4 meals every week. For two busy working people who LOVE cooking and eating a wide variety of dishes, it has been a dream come true for us. With these services we actually have TIME to prepare home-cooked meals together. Being able to decide what we want ahead of time, and then to have the shopping shopping/portioning part of the preparation already done for us, makes it possible for us to really enjoy the experience of cooking at home with us rush and stress.
I m jealous, most of our snow melted too until we got 6 more inches yesterday. Spring where are you? Congrats on the good school report thats awesome. Have a fun weekend!
I’m smiling because I’m almost done painting my living room! First, I had to freshen up the original white paint (painting white on white is so not fun) and I’ve finally settled on some new colors (coral, aqua and gray) and if everything works out, I should be done by Monday 🙂
Also, I’m getting some stuff from IKEA delivered today. I’ve been drooling about their ALGOT storage stuff for months now, but I was never quite sure what to get.
Getting home improvement projects done always feels like such a huge success for me. I loved what you did with your office gallery wall, by the way. Once the living room is done, the office comes next!

I’m smiling since tomorrow is my birthday and I have the best friends who there me a small party last night that was perfect. Tomorrow I will officially hit the 40 club. LOL
