BarkBox is a monthly subscription box for dogs. Each monthly box contains a combination of 4-6 treats, toys, and hygiene products that have been hand selected and approved by Scout (the dog), head product tester for BarkBox. All treats included in the boxes are sourced from the USA and Canada, and chews are sourced from the USA, Canada, South America, Australia and New Zealand, so you can be assured that your pet is only getting safe, high-quality items. Boxes can be customized based on the size of your pet (I get the Small box for the furries) and you can add an additional toy to your box for an extra $9/month.We have been getting BarkBox for ages and have always been satisfied with them.
BarkBox ships via DHL Global Mail (starts out with DHL and is delivered by the Post Office) and took just a few days to arrive this month.
I hadn’t seen any spoilers yet for this one, but the first look didn’t disappoint. We have been getting BarkBox for almost three years now and have always been impressed with the quality of the products we receive.
The April 2015 BarkBox theme was “Fitness” and included the following items to help your pup get pumped up:
~Fabdog Boxing Gloves ($14): OMG how cute are these? I like when dog toys have a good end to hold onto while playing tug-of-war. WB loves playing with Buddy and sometimes those rope toys hurt when he tries to grip them. I am sure that the kids will try to pretend box with these eventually too! LOL.
~JW Pet Muscle Man Cuz ($4): I personally am not a fan of squeaker toys (well at least not when they end up under my bed at night while I am trying to sleep), but the dogs love them. I think the kids might actually love this more than the dogs right right though. Who can blame them though? This looks like a little Superhero.
~Nootie LLC Peanut Butter Pleasers ($7): These treats are – you guessed it – made from peanut butter. And the dogs approve. And I think it’s super cute that they are shaped like actual peanuts.
~Green Bark Gummies Health and Vitality ($6): These treats are grain-free, made in the USA and contain no artificial flavors, wheat, corn, soy, added sugar and no wheat gluten. Sometimes I think dog treats are better quality than human treats!
~Etta Says Elk Chew ($3): We have received these in the past, but the dogs are always happy to get them. They usually spend more time fighting over it and protecting it than it takes to chew it, but they are having fun so whatever.
All totaled I came up with a value of $34 for the April 2015 BarkBox. I thought the toys they included fit well with the theme (I have to say that pet themed boxes must be quite difficult to put together) and was impressed by the quality of the treats. Another great BarkBox!
