Messy Box is the latest subscription box offering by A Beautiful Mess. The box is $24.99/month (less if you purchase an annual subscription) and each box is filled with items to scrapbook with including paper and cards, stickers, embellishments, and special items! I don’t scrapbook, but I like crafty things so I thought that I’d give this a try for a few months.
This month’s Messy Box shipped via UPS Mail Innovations (starts out as UPS and is delivered by USPS). Last month was delivered directly by UPS. Messy Box will ship your first kit (which would be this one if you order now) ASAP. Monthly boxes ship around the 10th of the month.
Everything was packaged very nicely and looked great! The box doesn’t include an information card, however, all of the contents are listed online. Here is what the April 2015 Messy Box included:
~9 x12 Pattern Pages: I am loving the prints on these this month! I don’t scrapbook, but I have been using these in my planner (after I cut them) and they also make really cool and different mats for picture frames.
~Journaling Cards (Assorted Sizes): Again, the patterns and quotes on these are great. The boys and I have been using these for craft projects and I have framed a couple as well. I actually laminated some of the lists so I can reuse them.
~Rotary Phrase Stamp: Totally using this as a stamp in my planner. I have a bunch of ink pads in different colors from the One Spot, but their stamps just aren’t as cute as this one.
~Rainbow Washi Tape: I have been using washi tape more as decorations on envelopes and packages than anything else lately. I still love it though and am always happy to get a fresh roll.
~Tiny Alphas: These could be used for a million things – scrapbook and otherwise, but I am saving them for L’s (future) school projects. There is always something we need something like these for and I want to be ready for next time.
~Die Cut Plastic Shapes: So far WB and I have been using these to practice counting with, but I suspect we’ll make a fun collage out of them soon.
I didn’t do a cost breakdown for this box, but I know that scrapbooking items are expensive. $24.99 does not seem at all out of line for this one at all. Since I don’t scrapbook I will likely take a break on this one for a few months and then pick it up again when we are running out of fun supplies to craft with.
