My Pretend Place April 2015 Dress-Up Subscription Box

My Pretend Place is a quarterly Dress Up Play subscription box for children aged 3-6. Each box includes dress-up costumes, activities or crafts, and other pretend play inspiration. They also offer a monthly Craft Subscription Box ($15/month) which is designed for children 3-8 years of age. It includes materials and instructions they need to create a new pretend play item each month.

Eek. Once again everything looked totally adorable.

The Information Card

The April 2015 My Pretend Place theme was “Superheros” (it was Pirates if you opted for gender neutral) and included the following:

~Little Adventures Cape ($16.99):Every superhero needs a cape!  This one is fully lined and is made from machine washable velvet.  We have a red one like this and the boys (it fits both L -6 and WB – 2) both love it.

~Little Adventures Hero Bat Tutu ($17.99): Adorable.  WB may have seen me unboxing this and may or may not have insisted on trying it on ;).  It fits him perfectly.  This is also machine washable which is much appreciated!

~Little Adventures Reversible Mask ($2.99): One side of this mask is white and the other is hot pink.  So depending on your Superhero’s mood you can change it up!  It’s fitted, but not too tight where your little one wouldn’t want to wear it.

~Arm Cuff Craft: My Pretend Place has a separate craft subscription, but I thought it was fun they included a craft as part of the costume in this box!

~Power Shield ($5.99): I didn’t know what this was at first and then it dawned on me that it was a shield!  The boys couldn’t wait for me to take the tag off so they could play with it.

Power Shield

~Dex The Heart of a Hero ($6.99): So far all of their dress-up subscriptions have included a book with matches the theme.  We loved receiving books and don’t already have this one which was great.  It’s a sweet story about an underdog who wants to become a superhero and we all enjoyed it.

All totaled I came up with a value of $50.92 for the April 2015 My Pretend Place box.  I thought this was just adorable.  Everything was perfectly appropriate for the theme and very high quality.  We received the pink / purple superhero combination (we get a “girl” box), but I know they had a red / blue girl superhero combo too.  They send the colors at random so you don’t know what you’ll receive until it comes!  I think all the boy boxes had a blue / red theme and included a cape, a power vest, a mask, a shield, the arm cuff craft and the same book the girls box included.

If you are interested in subscribing to My Pretend Place you can use the coupon code “playtime” to save 20% off your first box which brings the cost down to only $40!
