In the Tube

As is usually the case with NewBeauty TestTube everything was packaged very neatly and looked pretty good.

The Information Booklet
A look in the book

NewBeauty TestTube includes a great information book with product information, prices, details on where to buy the products, etc.  Here is what was included in the May 2015 shipment:

~dr. brandt Skincare needles no more ($15.13): You know, I think this really did help reduce my forehead wrinkles.  I didn’t realize at first it takes a while to “kick-in”, but after about an hour I really could tell.  I pretty much love this, but do I love it for $89 for half an ounce love it?  Not sure about that one.

~Lids by Design Medical Grade Instant Eyelid Correcting Strips by Contours Rx (~$7): So these are supposed to lift your eyebrows for you.  I haven’t ever given much thought to my eyelids, but maybe I should?  I didn’t have time to test these over the weekend, but hopefully this week.  I find them very interesting and like nothing I have received before.

~It’s a 10 Silk Express Miracle Silk Leave-In ($10.98): I have used some other products from this brand, but I don’t believe I have ever gotten the Silk Express before? This feels very light in my hair and didn’t feel like it weighed it down at all.  And it for sure looked shinier after.

~TanTowel Combo Pack (~$5): I cannot find this set sold anywhere so I estimated the price.  I love TanTowel and think it works great (and it super easy to do), however, TanTowel seems like it’s always in TestTubes!  I don’t know if they love them or have some deal with with them, but we get a lot of TanTowels!

~Patchology Hydrate FlashMasque Facial Sheets ($4): I have been doing a ton of masks lately so I am going to wait a bit on this one.  According to the information booklet it helps hydrate your skin and is best used when your skin feels fatigued

~Hada Labo Tokyo Replenishing Hydrator ($17.99):  I am also trying to cut back on mixing up my skincare products I will likely end up passing this one on to a friend.  It does sound interesting thought because you can use it under or over makeup anytime during the day to leave your skin looking “dewy”.

~glo therapeutics Gentle Cream Cleanser ($11.04): Now cleanser I am okay with testing out all sorts of brands.  It doesn’t do a number on my skin like switching between lotions and serums do.  This did what it promised and left my skin feeling good, but I didn’t really notice anything extra special.

All totaled I came up with a value of $71.14 for the May 2015 NewBeauty TestTube.  I have been hoping that they would get back to the types of tubes they sent out last Spring, but it this month wasn’t it.  I may take a break from them for a few months and check out what the next few shipments are like.
