Treatsie is a couture candy of the month club that delivers individually sourced confections from all over the world to your mailbox. They now also offer a Chocolate Bar Subscription ($45.95/month) which sends you 5-6 full sized gourmet chocolate bars from different small batch vendors each month.
Treatsie ships via USPS during the second half of the month. They have a shipping calendar on their website which you can check to find exact shipment dates for future months. In the warmer months Treatsie uses cool packs in their shipments to make sure everything arrives in perfect condition.
I used a coupon code when I subscribed to this which added a free Edoughble cookie dough to my box. It’s not part of this month’s box so I am not going to include it in my review below. It was good, but not amazing. I’d give it a 6 out of 10.
The April 2015 Treatsie box contained the following items:
~Malvi Vanilla Salted Caramel Marshmallow Cookie Sandwiches ($6): I have had these before and they are awesome. Although, I probably could do with half the size of the marshmallow and more cookie.
~B.T. Mcelrath Chocolatier Dark Chocolate and Milk Chocolate Bites ($3.21): These are a perfect little chocolates. They are 100% natural and they are the kind of chocolates you don’t need a full bar of to feel satisfied by. So good!
~Tumbador PB&J Bar ($3.33): I’ve tried this before and it’s not my favorite flavor of chocolate. I think it’s the “jelly” portion. Peanut butter chocolate I can do.
~Tumbador Corn Nut Dragee: Totally a B snack. They are chocolate covered corn nuts. I like them but I don’t appreciate them quite as much as B does.
~Tumbador Chocolate Pretzel Poppers: I don’t know really why these are white (they are chocolate covered pretzel nuggets), but I know they are good! Totally my kind of snack.
I could’t do a cost breakdown on this one since I didn’t have prices for everything, but the Treatsie information card lists the value at $23. Not a huge savings for the price, but it’s a very fun way to try new treats.
