Birchbox Man is $20/month and sends you monthly deliveries of deluxe grooming and lifestyle samples, tailored to your profile. With Birchbox Man you can try cult brands, up-and-coming lines, and everything in between.
Birchbox Man USPS (through Newgistics) and generally arrives during the first few days of the month. Or in the last few days of the previous month like this one did.
Our box this month shipped in a larger than normal package because of the lifestyle item we selected.
Because the lifestyle item was packed separate, the first look wasn’t overly impressive on this one.
The May 2015 Birchbox Man theme was “Comback Story” and included the following items:
~Baxter of California Clay Mask ($3.60): B doesn’t get a ton of masks in subscription boxes, so this is a very welcome item. He’ll do masks of mine, but one just for him is awesome. You only have to leave this on for 10 minutes and then rinse it off with warm water.
~Billy Jealousy Slush Fund Styling Mud (~$3): None of the boys in the house have hair long enough to use this, but it’ll grow out eventually and they will all use it.
~Montez Renault 3-in-1 Performance Wash (~$5): You can use this on your hair, body and face. B has a ton of travel coming up and this is a great item for it!
~Mizu M4 Water Bottle ($16.95): I actually snagged this water bottle for L. B didn’t need any of the lifestyle items for this month, but L can always use a fresh water bottle for school and for playing outside. It’s lightweight and a great size for his desk at school.
All totaled I came up with a value of $28.55 for the May 2015 Birchbox Man. Including the points for purchasing the box (20 points = $2) and the points for reviewing the products / sharing on Facebook (50 points = $5), the real value of this box is $34.55. Not a huge value, but we selected the lifestyle item so that was to be expected!
