Citrus Lane May 2015 Subscription Box (3 Year-Old Boy)

Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription box for babies from 0 to 5 years old which contains four or more products selected especially for the age and stage of your child. It’s $29/month, but they always have great coupon codes that let you try them out very inexpensively.  I receive a box for WB (boy) who just turned 3 and a box for a 5 year-old boy as well.  I thought the other box I received was my 3 year-old box, but it turns out this one is.

The Box

Citrus Lane ships via FedEx Smart Post and took about a week to arrive.  Citrus Lane must ship in batches because my two May boxes shipped and arrived on different days.

First Look

I haven’t been paying too much attention to CL spoilers this month so I didn’t know which age groups were getting which items.  All I knew was that I was hoping I didn’t get two of the same boxes this month (which does happen sometime even though they have a two-year age difference).

The Information Card

The May 2015 Citrus Lane box included the following items for this summer’s on-the-go adventures:

~Cotton Summer Essential from Tea Collection ($26.50): Citrus Lane doesn’t send clothing too often, but when they do it’s adorable. I love this tee!  It’s a 4T though so it may not fit WB this year.  He’s just so tiny!  But it’s better that they sent a shirt that is too big as opposed to too small because he can grow into it.

~Hape Master Bricklayer Set ($6.99): We actually already own this set, but I don’t know if it’s from a subscription box or if it was something I bought on my own?  Either way I am thrilled for another set.  Both boys still love to play in the sandbox and sand toys don’t last forever!

~Portions to Go from Goodbyn (~$12): This was also in our 5 year-old box, but we love Goodbyn so much we’re happy with another. Goodbyn containers are sturdy and the lids snap on and off quite easily, but I never worry about them spilling.

~Sunscreen Bands from Sunburn Alert (~$4): This was also in our other box, but I so do not mind more of these.  We (try) to spend a majority of our time outside in the summer and applying and reapplying sunscreen is obviously a must.  These will help remind us when it’s time.  I really think L is going to love these.  He likes to be responsible for things and this is a great way to let him help remember when to reapply sunscreen.

All totaled I came up with a value of $49.49 for my May 2015 Citrus Lane box.  I did estimate some of the prices, but even if I estimated high I still love this box.  I think May was one of the best months Citrus Lane has had in a long time.  Let’s hope the trend continues into June!
