Hot Coffee Club
Cost: $20/month.
Ships To: United States.
Coupon Code: N/A.
Hot Coffee Club delivers 3 120g bags of coffee per month right to your door. Subscriptions begin with a tasting box that includes four 50g baggies – one for each of their coffees to help you determine your favorite(s). This review details their tasting box.
Hot Coffee Club roasts fresh weekly – so at worst you will get your first coffee order shipped to you seven days after you order. Monthly shipments dates will be displayed in your dashboard so you will know exactly when you can expect them.
I love opening coffee boxes because they smell so incredible.
The Hot Coffee Club Tasting Box includes the following items:
~Columbia: B was supposed to try all these at work before he left, but things got crazy and that never happened. He doesn’t give a ton of details when he tries them anyway though so it’s not a big deal I guess. I put so much cream in my coffee that I am nearly just drinking caffeinated milk, so my review wouldn’t be at all helpful. Anyway, Columbia is a “sweet, chocolatey and well-balanced” blend and is described as a medium roast.
~Brazil: Brazil is “low acidity and full body” and is also described as a medium roast. Each monthly box will contain 360g of coffee between all three bags and will get you 50 or so cups of coffee.
~Ethiopia: Ethiopia is described as having “berry aromas & citrus acidity”. It’s also a medium roast.
~Guatemala: Guatemala is “smooth with almond smells” and is Hot Coffee Club’s most popular bean.
I couldn’t do a cost breakdown on this box (and this Tasting Box is also different than the monthly box), but at $20/month it breaks down to what, $0.40/cup of coffee? If you usually run through the drive-thru at Starbucks or pop in your local coffee shop everyday I am sure you are spending more than that on coffee.
