Olfactif is a monthly perfume subscription box. Each month subscribers receive some of the finest and hardest-to-find perfume samples from niche artists around the world. Samples are contained in 2.25mL glass vials and each vial has enough for 15 – 20 wearings. In addition, you will receive an $18 credit to put toward a full bottle of a featured scent, every month.
Olfactif ships via USPS around the 1st of the month. If your first purchase is before the 15th of the month they will ship out your collection immediately. Otherwise your first box will ship around the 1st of the following month.
Olfactif packages their samples in a fancy little black box. Even B thinks it’s neat. They also include a guide on how to smell / test the perfumes that were included.
The May 2015 Olfactif theme was “In Bloom” and included the following items:
~Lime, Gardenia & Benzoin – Dame Perfumery Scottsdale: This scent is described as “white flower, citrusy sparkle”. I could totally smell the lime in this one and really liked how it balanced out the floral scents.
~Scarlet Larkspur – Ineke: This scent is described as “delicate, warm, red soliflore”. I like this scent and thought it was very rich, but it seemed like it would be a better winter time scent on me.
~Dirty Flower Factory – Kerosene Fragrances: This was described as a “floral explosion – go big or go home”. It was just too much floral for me though. It dulled down a bit after an hour or so, but it still just wasn’t for me.
I think Olfactif is a fun box for fragrance lovers. It’s a cool way to try a bunch of new scents that you can’t get samples of at your local department store. And if you find one you love you can take advantage of that $18/bottle savings.
