1. What is your favorite book? Last week I got recommendations on kids books from everyone (THANK YOU) and now I want to know what your favorite book of all time is. I have been thinking about this one and I am not sure if I have one? I have a lot of books I have enjoyed, but a favorite? I don’t know. My choices in books are pretty “fluffy” so maybe that’s why I can’t pinpoint a favorite?
2. Planner people! What’s your favorite brand? I am thinking about branching out to a new planner (I haven’t been using my Erin Condren one too much) and want to know what you use? I for sure want a paper planner and need a monthly view, but other than that I am open to recommendations!
My all time favorite book is the Great Gatsby. But I love all of Dan Brown’s books (The Da Vinci Code books). Sherlock Holmes books, but the Hound of the Baskervilles. Robert Jordan the Wheel of Time books.
I also like diet/health books. The Fast Metabolism Diet by Haylie Pomroy is a phenomenal book. I found it so insightful on body changes and what causes it to not function properly.
I am currently reading The Formula by Luke Dormehl. Its about human behavior and algorithms.
I love books. I am in need of an action series like the Dan Brown books. There’s so many books out there its like blindly diving into a sea of confusion.
I’m too chaotic and should plan but do not 🙁

Blue Skye and sugar paper other target brand names I was searching 4
I have always loved Song of Solomon ever since I read it 10 years ago. Such a great book!
I have been wanting to purchase an Erin Condren planner and think I will make the jump this summer. I’m a school counselor and my days are always crazy. Keeping a planner with important dates and who I have seen/called is important!
Hmmm. Well, my most read book is Hamlet. My college thesis was on Shakespeare so that got a lot of rereads! Probably my favorites are Interpreter of Maladies from Jhumpa Lahiri and Back Roads from Tawni O’Dell. Very evocative, lush language and just excellent stories/characters.
I switched off a paper planner to my Google Calendar and I’m so happy with it! The whole family is linked to it so we are all on the same page which is great.
My favorite books have been my favorite books since I was a kid. Ella Enchanted is absolutely wonderful and the movie is absolutely horrible and wrong and does not do it justice!!! I love the Chronicles of Narnia series and plan on reading the whole series to my son this summer! A more “grown up” favorite is the Secret History of the Pink Carnation series. It is historical fiction and so much fun! It is about English spies during the French Revolution and the characters are so fun and mischievous I just get sucked into every book (there are 11 so far) and don’t come out until I finish the book, much to the chagrin of my husband!
I heart narnia!!! Ella enchanted is really good!!!
My favorite book will probably always be The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle. It’s my favorite movie, as well. The comic book adaptation is also gorgeous. I’ve lived it ever since I was little. <3 🙂
*loved it*
I mostly read non-fiction but my favorite book of all time is Stephen King’s The Stand. I also love Red Sky at Morning (the author eludes me at the moment).
Have you seen that erin condren is coming out with a different layout next year, and its changed a bit? Ive been considering the Emily Ley planner! Or the plum paper one
My favorite book is The choice, it is not a classic or very known but I like the story, the hope and the good feeling it gives me.
About planners, I totally fail with that, I have tried but definitely the electronic version is working better for me, mainly because of the reminders and the portability, as you commented the monthly view is very important, so I can start thinking in advance. For me, in case is something tangible, I need it to be portable and not so big so I can move it between bags if required and it does not take a lot of space in my messy desk :S
I recently finished reading The Martian by Andy Weir, and it went right to the top of my list. I can’t recommend it enough. It’s set in present times, and the story revolves around a guy on a manned mission to Mars who gets left behind on Mars. I promise that’s not ruining or spoiling anything! The main story is told from his logbooks, and he’s absolutely hilarious. It was a hard book to put down, even after a long day at work when I was almost falling asleep. Plus, it’s being made into a movie, so you should definitely read it first!
My first Plum Paper planner will be arriving today, I’ll fill you in!
I feel a little silly spending $40 on a planner (after shipping) when I’ve always gotten $10ish ones from Target, but I couldn’t stop thinking about it!
There are several books that are in my all time list and on the fluffy side- Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen. And I recent fave is The Royal We that is written by Heather & Jessica of Go Fug Yourself. And for planners, Paper Source has some great ones!
You need a Lilly Pulitzer planner! I love mine. I have gotten the small one and the larger one. They are beautiful and come with stickers for it also. Love love love mine! They are sturdier than the Erin Condren ones I think. I have always ordered mine from Amazon but they do not have a large selection right now.
I like fun girly books like The shopaholic series (the last one sucked though). I love Beth Harbison books also and the Shoe addicts anonymous series.
I love your blog and read daily!
I really like the SugarPaper LA planners that Target carries but they only come out once a year. Other than that, I like the Blue Sky Planners that are at Target or the Mead ones that are Aztec or Rose Gold.
My favorite book is Sarah’s Key. I love books set during WWII and thus book made me cry- I didn’t want it to end!
I love reading so it’s really hard to pinpoint a favorite. I tend to like really emotional books, too, so I usually don’t recommend my real favorites because they are depressing (Little Bee, Kite Runner, A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius). But a kinda emotional but also fun and feel-good one that I loved recently is The Storied Life of AJ Fickery. It’s a real book lover’s book. Lots of literary references, lots of books changing people’s lives…. It’s fun.
My favorite book of all time is Stephen Kings “The Stand” (and I see I’m not the only one here!).
I have been using a Franklin Covey planner for twenty plus years. I’m laughing at all the new “plannerites”…I’ve been getting crap since the iPhones came out about using electronic versions of planners but I’ve always just been old school so I smile…I guess I never went out of style! I still use the Franklin Covey system but am branching out with embellishments and stamps for it. Since I’m going to start my food blog again, I’m thinking of expanding to a second planner cuz the pages and stuff some of these monthly kits come up with are so pretty and useful!
Another vote for Stephan Kinds “The Stand”. Excellent!
I like Google calendar because it goes with me even when I run out of the house forgetting everything but the car keys! I do like to have a mini calendar with monthly glance in my purse because sometimes it’s nice to write something down quickly.
*King* of course!
I’m surprised that you haven’t used the Lily Pulitzer planner! I purchased a 16 month one last year– it is hardcover and as you can imagine, quite colorful! I think that I sent for it through an email offer, and it concludes this year which could be why I haven’t yet received a new offer.
My all time favorite book would have to be the Book Thief by Markus Zusak. Although I just finished a book that was really good, For Such a Time by Kate Breslin, I loved it, I could barely put it down!
Man that book was sooooo good!!!
The book theif is the one I had read.
Ohhhhhh i keep checking this list to get ideas for new books. i just added the book thief to the too of my audible list!!! Thank you!

My favorite book of all time is Christy by Catherine Marshall. My favorite series is the Anne of avonlea series by LM Montgomery. I think every little girl should read them. A great series for adults that cracks me up is the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich. Those books will have you laughing so hard and you will be passing them around to everybody and their penguin to read. A great kids book (chapter book) is The Little Prince. By some French dude. I love the illustrations and the message of the book.
I love Beauty by Robin McKinley. Such a lovely retelling of beauty and the beast. And I can’t live without my Graphic Image planner. Their Post by Graphic Image line is less expensive and the cover isn’t as nice but the pages are exactly the same.
My favorite classic books have to be Anne of Green Gables and her other books by L.M. Montgomery and Little Women. I also love the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich. They are super funny and are always good for a nice summer day.
