Birchbox Man July 2015 Subscription Box – “Summer Epic”

Birchbox Man is $20/month and sends you monthly deliveries of deluxe grooming and lifestyle samples, tailored to your profile. With Birchbox Man you can try cult brands, up-and-coming lines, and everything in between.

The Box

Birchbox Man USPS (through Newgistics) and generally arrives during the first few days of the month.  Or at the end of the previous month like this one (and the past few month’s) did.

This box arrived so early that I didn’t even get a chance to peek at spoilers.  I knew which sample choice item I selected, but other than that I didn’t know what it would include.  Sample choice options  this moth were: 1) Profound Aesthetic Genuine Raw Leather Journal: Pocket Size, 2) Ten One Design Mountie or 3) Adopted Leather Wrap Case for iPhone 6.  Subscribers were also given the option to opt for a specially curated box, The “American Heritage Box” which contained the following: Stone + Cloth Utility Case, PLANT Body Wash, das boom Industries Everywhere Lotion Kyoto and Brothers Artisan Oil.  We opted for the monthly box with the Ten One Design Mountie as our sample choice.

The Information Card

The July 2015 Birchbox Man theme was “Summer Epic” and included the following items to help you seize the day:

~Baxter of California Clay Pomade ($1.70): As soon as someone at my house (other than me anyway) has hair long enough to test this out, we will!  It is supposed to give you super hold without making you look like a Ken doll.  This seems like it will be a good one for L because I can never get his hair to stay.

~Bill Jealousy Triple Crown 3-in-1 Body Wash (2.50): Love this smell of this!  We have gotten a variety of Bill Jealously items in the past and B’s always a fan. With all the traveling he’s been doing lately new travel sized products are perfect.

Bill Jealousy Triple Crown 3-in-1 Body Wash

~Das Boon Everywhere Lotion Kyoto ($3): The Kyoto scent is a mixture of yuzu, shiso and saffron. It’s a bit of a different scent, but it’s growing on me.  I doubt that B will like it though, so this one may be all mine.

~English Laundry Cambridge Knight ($3): This scent is amazing.  It’s described as a warm musky scent with an exotic twist.  I sprayed it on my wrists and I cannot stop sniffing them!

~Ten One Design Mountie ($24.95): I never got a chance to discuss the sample choice options with B when they came out, but I knew he’d love this.  You hook it to your laptop or iPad and can clip in your phone for a little multitasking.  Very handy and very smart.

All totaled I came up with a value of $35.15 for the July 2015 Birchbox Man.  Including the points for purchasing the box (20 points = $2) and the points for reviewing the products / sharing on Facebook (50 points = $5), the real value of this box is $42.15.  The samples in this one will be used quickly and I love the lifestyle item this month!
