CAUSEBOX is socially conscious box from the people over at Sevenly. In each box, you will receive at least $150 worth of products for women from Sevenly’s favorite socially conscious brands.
CAUSEBOXes are shipped out the first two weeks of June, September, December, and March via USPS. If CAUSEBOX has boxes from that quarter in stock your first order will ship within two weeks of the order date. Otherwise your first box will begin the next quarter.
I was really curious to see what was inside this box. It was kind of an odd shape so I didn’t really know what to expect. The first look was fabulous though.
The Summer 2015 CAUSEBOX included the following items:
~Musana Bumba Necklace ($36): This necklace is handmade in Lugazi, Uganda. Musana is a non-profit social enterprise that aims to help break the cycle of poverty by providing stable employment and educational opportunities for women. The necklace is absolutely gorgeous and very well made.
~Parker Clay Upcycled Wrap Bracelet ($48): I had a heck of a time trying to get a good picture of this, but I tried. The bracelet is handmade out of Ethiopian leather and melted down bullets (for real) found in Ethiopian countries. What’s even cooler is that for every bracelet sold, Parker Clay sends one Ethiopian woman through a prostitution prevention training program through their partner, Women at Risk.
~Parker Clay Headband ($16): This headband is also handcrafted by Parker Clay. It’s made by a small team of artisans in Addis Ababa, Ethopia. It will stretch over time, so if it’s too tight right now, don’t worry about it.
~”Living on One Dollar” Special Edition DVD ($24.99): I actually cannot wait to watch this. It’s a documentary that follows the journey of four friends as they set out to live on just $1 a day for two months in rural Guatemala. I know B won’t want to watch it with me so I will watch it while he’s out of town next week.
~Sevenly Lemonade Print ($18): Ohh, I love this print! I actually hope I have a frame on my gallery wall that this will fit in so I can hang it up. This print was one of the best sellers in the Sevenly marketplace and was brought back just for CAUSEBOX.
~Keepcup 7oz To-Go Cup ($17): Keepcups are awesome! We received a glass one in a POPSUGAR box and then WB received a tiny one in A Little Bundle this month, but this one is all mine! The cups are made from non-toxic BPA and BPS-free polypropylene and is designed to reduce paper and plastic waste. And it’s just cute. They come in a ton of fun colors and you can pretty much design your own cup.
~Love for Humanity Face Cream ($58): I actually just ran out of the face cream I had been using so I started using this a few nights ago. It’s organic, vegan, cruelty-free, paraben free, toxin-free and Made in the USA. I haven’t used it long enough to see a different in my skin, but it moisturized well and left it feeling nice.
~Everly Hydrating Drink Mixes: These drink mixes add a “fantastic all natural flavor to your water”. And for every box sold, Everly provides a packet of life saving oral hydration salt mix to treat children with waterborne diseases.
All totaled I came up with a value of $217.99 for the Sumer 2015 CAUSEBOX by Sevenly. I was really impressed with this box and thought it was a great value for $54.95. Everything was high quality, useful and the jewelry was gorgeous!

This all looks fabulous. I am anxiously waiting for mine to come…..does it ship ups or usps? The bracelet looks really good on you and the necklace is a pleasant surprise. So glad I decided to get this because I will use everything!
“I am extremely upset, and will never order from Sevenly.org again. I placed my order on July 28, and received an email that day saying there was a 7-10 day delay, by August 26 I still had not heard of my order being shipped or any updates, so I emailed the support address and 4 days later received an email referring me back to the original delay email, taking no responsibility, despite the fact that I had not heard anything about my $150 order in a MONTH. The order was just shipped on the 28th of AUGUST despite your website clearly stating the 1-2-3 process. This is completely unacceptable. Now my order can take up to 6 weeks after the shipping date! which means despite ordering on July 28th, I may not receive my items until half way through OCTOBER! Clearly the “People Matter” slogan does not apply to those ordering, because this is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Responsibility was not taken, I still don’t know when I’ll get my package, and there was no apology or offer to compensate the EXTREME INCONVENIENCE. Sevenly needs to step up the customer service, this was a horrible experience. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ORDERING FROM THIS SITE.” was my response to the service rating – I’m leaving this everywhere I can. There are so many other places to order from, and if there are no convenient ones for you, there is always donating directly to the charity, which I personally think shows more support and helps the cause more, anyway.
M LeDrew,
Did you ever receive the CAUSEBOX? I ordered a shirt from Sevenly on 10/7/15, was charged immediately, though I received an automatically generated email from Sevenly saying they were having some “fulfillment problems” and had no suggested ship date. I’ve since emailed them and called their customer service phone number (went straight to vmail), but have yet to get an update.
I also will never be ordering from this website again. I placed an order for 2 shirts totalling over $100 Cdn dollars on Dec 6 and have yet to receive my merchandise. All I get when I contact them is that they are delayed in shipping orders. Lately I haven’t been hearing from them at all. This also has been a horrible experience and I will be submitting a complaint to my credit card company as well as BBB California.
