Citrus Lane June 2015 Subscription Box Review (3 Year-Old Boy)

Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription box for children from 0 to 5 years old which contains four or more products selected especially for the age and stage of your child. It’s $29/month, but the price decreases to $24.95 with a 6-month subscription.  I receive a box for WB (boy) who just turned 3 and a box for a 5 year-old boy as well.  This is my 3 year-old box.

The Box

Citrus Lane ships via FedEx Smart Post and took under a week to arrive. My other box is still en route to me.

First Look

Meh.  Not a really exciting first look. I was hoping I would find some buried treasures under there though.

The Information Card

The June 2015 Citrus Lane box included the following “mom tricks” to help keep everyone busy this summer:

~Fun Flyer from Stephen Joseph ($6.95): We’ve gotten one of these in a previous box (either Citrus Lane or bluum) so this is a repeat for us.  Citrus Lane doesn’t send repeats to subscribers, but we’ve gotten Mystery Boxes from them and have different age group subscriptions so it’s possible they sent it in the 5 year-old box last year and the 3 year-old box this year.  The boys like to throw this, but neither of them can catch it so it makes for a lot of running around.

~Beach House from Chronicle Books (~$8): I can’t find a price for the soft cover version of this so I had to estimate.  WB wants nothing more than to go to the beach and this book makes him want to go even more.  I signed both boys up for the summer reading program at the library so we’ll be counting this as one of our books!

~Wallet Cards from So Awesome ($9.99): These are so awesome! WB still needs work on his colors and shapes and this will be awesome practice for when we are out and about.  L and WB can even talk about them together in the car which will be awesome.  L likes teaching L and WB listens to everything L says so it will work out well.

~Hello Book from Hello Hanna ($9.95): We’ve also received these books in the past from Citrus Lane and they are great for L to practice his writing in.  It comes with stickers so you can create you own story with characters and everything.

~Snackimals Cereal from Barbara’s (~$1): These are delicious and were quickly eaten.  New snacks plus two growing boys is always a winner.

All totaled I came up with a value of $35.89 for the June 2015 Citrus Lane box for a 3 year-old boy.  I really liked the book, the wallet cards and the snack, but wasn’t too excited about the rest of the box.  I haven’t gotten my 5 year-old box yet, so we’ll see what that one brings in a few days!
