GlobeIn June 2015 Subscription Box Review – “Entertain”

The GlobeIn Artisan Box is a monthly subscription box featuring GlobeIn’s favorite products from global artisans. Each box is curated around a monthly theme selected by their editor with the aim of helping you experience new and interesting products and cultures.

The Box

GlobeIn ships via USPS. Boxes ship on the 15th of the month (I received mine early for review purposes). Orders placed after the 15th of the calendar month will ship on the 15th of the following calendar month.  ETA: If boxes sell out before the 15th your subscription will begin the following month.

First Look

GlobeIn always packages items in a palm leaf basket.  It has a value of $12 and the colors are always a surprise.

The Information Card

The June 2015 GlobeIn theme was “Entertain” and contained the following items:

~Za’atar Spice Mix ($7.99): This spice blend looks a little scary (at least to me), but from the sounds of it, you can use it on just about anything.  Seriously anything.  Eggs, meat, cheese, everything!  The website I linked to suggests olive oil, za’atar and fresh-baked bread, which, they say, is the daily breakfast in Palestine.  I think I would love that for breakfast everyday!

Za’atar Spice Mix

~Coasters ($12): I love these coasters!  They are made in Ghana from traditional batik fabrics and upcycled plastic bags.  I love them all, but I think the elephant print is my favorite.  So so so cute!

Coasters (Back)

~Sun-Dried Tomato Caper Spread ($8): Suggested uses for this one are on warm bread, pasta, or anything else you want to add a “warm-flavor” to.  I am saving this for when B is home so we can both try it together and I don’t end up wasting half the jar.

Sun-Dried Tomato Caper Spread

~Tea Time Bunting ($14): I don’t know exactly what I will do with these or where I will put them, but I do like them!  The colors are gorgeous and so is the print!

Tea Time Bunting

All totaled I came up with a value of $53.99 for the June 2015 GlobeIn box.  I think this box was a great value and I think those coasters are fantastic!  Such a cool idea.
