ipsy June 2015 Subscription Review - "Swim Into Beauty"
ipsy June 2015 Subscription – “Swim Into Beauty”

ipsy is $10/month and sends its members a beautiful Glam Bag with 4-6 deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products. Their bags always have an incredible value (well over the $10 cost) and I am always amazed at how they do it. I don’t always love everything in the bags, but I always always think it was worth my $10.

The Package

ipsy ships via DHL Global Mail.  It starts out with DHL and is delivered by USPS.  Bags typically ship around the 10th and take under a week to arrive.

First Look

ipsy packages everything (well if it fits) into that month’s makeup bag. I actually peeked at my ipsy so long ago that I had pretty much forgotten what was coming.  They released the Sneak Peek Glam room SO early this month!

The Card

The June 2015 ipsy theme was “Swim into Beauty” and included the following items:

~IT Cosmetics Brow Power Universal Eyebrow Pencil (Universal Taupe) ($12): I am happy with the brush end of this, but I try to stay away from brow pencils.  Sometimes it’s necessary when I over pluck, but it doesn’t happen too often.  The brush though, I need that. I get bad “bedhead” on my lashes and I will use the brush end to fix that.

~tre’StiQue Mini Shadow Crayon ($11): This is a new (to me) brand and I love the color on the lid is the actual color of the crayon!  I don’t know that I have gotten a crayon like that before?  This color is much darker than I expected, but I was really impressed with the coverage. In the swatch below I swiped that across my hand one-time.  One time and that is the result. Impressive!

~Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick (Melted Candy) ($8.40): This color is SO bright.  SO bright.  I am a fan of Too Faced Melted and like the coverage, the lasting power, etc., but this color.  Wow!

~AURORA Gel Effect Nail Polish (4 Alarm Fire) ($8.99): I am cracking up because this is almost exactly the same color as the Too Faced I received and this is called “4 Alarm Fire”. LOL.   In a nail polish form I love this color.  I am going to paint my nails with it the next time I do my nails.

~BioRepublic SkinCare Sheet Mask Trio ($14.95): I love sheet masks, but they make you look beyond crazy when you are wearing them.  For real.  I have to make sure the kids are in bed so I don’t scare them. I tried the Aloe Rescue last night and it felt amazing on my skin and left my skin soft and moisturized.

~The Bag: I feel like ipsy has really been stepping it up lately with their bags. I have been loving them! I used to not know what to do with them, but lately I have been storing samples in them that I want to use in my downstairs bathroom, to help organize my purse, in the car, pretty much everywhere!

The Bag

All totaled I came up with a value of $55.34 for the June 2015 ipsy bag.  I liked this month’s bag, but I didn’t love it. I think maybe if the Too Faced was a different shade I would have been liked it more.  Still it was totally worth $10 and I am still curious how they put together such a great valued box every month!

Did you get this month’s ipsy bag? What variations did you get? And what’d you think? If you are interested in subscribing or interested in learning more, click here. Oh and if you want to skip the Wait List, but don’t feel like sharing on Facebook (or don’t have a Facebook), e-mail ipsy Care and they will take you off the list and get you subscribed right away!
