Mission Cute May 2015 Subscription Box Review
Mission Cute May 2015 Subscription Box

MissionCute, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a monthly subscription box full of cute stuff, but with a mission. Each MissionCute box comes with at least 2 items made by small-but-mighty artisans and local businesses and each month they partner with a different nonprofit to help promote their mission.  50% of the net proceeds of each box are donated to the chosen (you can vote on it) monthly nonprofit (this month’s partner is ImprovingBirth) and MissionCute also sponsors and works on a service project each month in their community.

The Box

MissionCute ships via USPS and took just a few days to arrive to me.  Boxes ship on the 15th of the month. If you subscribe before the 10th of the month you will receive that month’s box.  If you subscribe after the 10th of the month, your subscription will start the following month.

I love seeing what MissionCute does every month so their unboxings are always fun.

The Information Card

The May 2015 MissionCute partner is “ImprovingBirth” and, like I previously mentioned, 50% this month’s proceeds will be donated to them.  ImprovingBirth‘s mission is to bring evidence-based care and humanity to childbirth.  Here is what the box included:

~Wooster & Prince Mani & Pedi Set ($11.45): I can always use new mani / pedi stuff so this is awesome.  It’s cute and very practical, so it’s a win for me.

~MudLOVE “Grace” Band ($8): Each one of these bands provide one week of clean water to someone in need.  So you get a cute bracelet and you get to do some good at the same time.

~SOPHi Nail Polish (#NoFilter) ($7.99): I had no idea that Piggy Paint made an adult line!  How awesome.  It’s made in the USA, is vegan and cruelty-free, non-flammable and contains no formaldehyde, toluene, phthalates, BPA or ethyl acetate.  Oh yeah, and the color is awesome.

~MissionCute Ampersand Charm Necklace ($16): I don’t know how often I will wear it, but it’s fun and trendy and certainly cuts the cute part of this box.

~“Find Your Inner Goddess” Print by Stephanie Lazorchak ($10): I think this is the first print from MissionCute that I haven’t loved.  I like the colors and the patterns and the quote, but I don’t like it all together.  Not everything will be my style in boxes though, so it’s not a big deal.  You love some things and some things not so much.

All totaled I came up with a value of $53.44 for theMay 2015 MissionCute box.  It wash;t my favorite box from them, but it wasn’t a complete miss either. I will use  the majority of the items in the box so I am fairly happy!
