True Drool, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a monthly subscription box for the dogs. It’s designed for the “over 40 crowd”, over 40 pounds that is! Boxes contain 4-7 toy/treat items for your large active breed dog to wag, wiggle and drool over.
True Drool ships via USPS around the 15th of the month. If you order by the 5th of the month your box will ship that month. If you order after the 5th, your box will ship the following month.
I love the green paper they use in True Drool boxes because it reminds me of green grass and outside and of course, dogs!
The June 2015 True Drool theme was “Tour of Treats” and included the following items:
~Cheezy Bacon Bites by Bogart’s Barkery ($6.99): Bogart’s Barkery is a located in Michigan and operates a human grade baking facility. I looked them up and I am actually super close to them. So what’s not to like? Delicious treats and Made in Michigan!
~Simply Lamb by Sojos ($7.99): I know this box is for big dogs, but these treats are perfect for Baxter and Buddy. They are little meaty treats made from 100% freeze-dried lamb. They made great training treats.
~Trout and Pomegranate by Candie ($7.25): I can’t say I have ever thought about a Pomegranate / Trout combination, but why not? I am saving these “superfood” treats for my brother’s dogs who I am certain will wolf them right down.
~Savory Duck by Cloud Star ($6.95): These are all-natural and are grain-free and gluten-free. These are soft and chewy so I can easily break them apart and give to my dogs.
~Beef Biscotti by Loving Pets ($7.99): These look gross and smell even worse, but you know what? That just means the dogs like them even more. Like they love them! In addition to being gluten-free, soy-free, glycerin-free and wheat-free, they are 100% natural and made in the USA.
All totaled I came up with a value of $37.17 for the June 2015 True Drool box. It’s just shy of the $38/month price tag, however, I use online prices in my reviews and never include shipping costs. This box was (obviously) treat heavy, but that was the theme of the box so it makes sense. Between my two dogs and my brother’s three dogs, these treats will be eaten right up!
