FAIR Treasure sends fair trade items such as jewelry, glass wear, pottery and paper goods, to your door each month. Their goal is to make it easier for everyone to explore the very best that Fair Trade products have to offer… and in turn, providing exposure and supporting the communities of people making these treasures.
FAIR Treasure ships via USPS and generally arrives in the first half of the month.
The first look on this one didn’t reveal too much. Fair Treasure always packages things very well and I have never had an issue with a broken or missing item.
The July 2015 FAIR Treasure was “The Oasis Box” and included the following items:
~Mata Traders: Tonal Hues Necklace ($34): This necklace is handmade in India by a group with a strong commitment to combating child labor in the manufacturing sector. I love the neutral colors in this and think it’s a very functional piece.
~Ge Workshop: Olive Branch Dish ($14.50): The regular price on this is $29, but it’s on sale for $14.50 right now. I really love this piece. It was handmade in the West Bank and is just gorgeous. I feel like this is a good up-north item so I am planning on finding a use for it up there.
All totaled I came up with a value of $48.50 for the July 2015 FAIR Treasure box. Even with the olive branch dish being on sale, the value of the box was still higher than the cost. I think the dish is one of my all-time favorite items from FAIR Treasure! It’s just so cool!
