The GlobeIn Artisan Box is a monthly subscription box featuring GlobeIn‘s favorite products from global artisans. Each box is curated around a monthly theme selected by their editor with the aim of helping you experience new and interesting products and cultures.
GlobeIn ships via USPS. Boxes ship on the 15th of the month (I received mine early for review purposes). Orders placed after the 15th of the calendar month will ship on the 15th of the following calendar month. ETA: If boxes sell out before the 15th your subscription will begin the following month.
Everything in this month’s box fit neatly inside the palm leaf basket. I was excited to get this one from the minute I saw the spoilers on it and I couldn’t wait to dig in.
The July 2015 GlobeIn theme was “Wander” and included the following items to help you on your way”
~Handloomed Drawstring Backpack by ApiHappi (Sri Lanka) ($29.99): This bag is called “The Kermit”. For some reason I thought everyone would be receiving the blue bag shown in the spoiler photo and on the information card, but I was thrilled to see this lime green colored bag. It’s totally fabulous.and I couldn’t be happier about it.
~Elephant Travel Journal by Mr. Ellie Pooh (Sri Lanka) ($14.99): So, this journal is made out of elephant dung. Yes, for real. How cool is that? By making these journals elephants are being saved because they aren’t being viewed as a nuisance by farmers anymore. The wild elephants are now seen as an economic asset and help to employ over 50 artisans. I love that they straight up call it pooh paper too. So funny!
~Moringa Bar by Kuli Kuli (Ghana) (~$2.75): I haven’t tried this bar yet. I may actually leave it for B to take to work. It has twice the protein of greek yogurt, 4 times the calcium of milk and 7 times the vitamin C of orange juice making it a true Superfood.
~Palm Leaf Basket by GlobeIn Artisan Cooperative (Mexico) ($12): Each GlobeIn includes a palm leaf basket. They are good for storage under the sink or for gift packaging.
~Shea Mosquito Repellent by Lulu Life (South Sudan) ($7.48): I didn’t realize when I saw the spoiler that this was a shea butter! I obviously wasn’t paying attention. I am throwing this in my bag and will be using this on the boys. It will be awesome for their faces and necks. They hate when I spray bug spray on their faces so this will be fantastic.
All totaled I came up with a value of $67.21 for the July 2015 GlobeIn box. I really enjoyed this box and thought the curation was awesome. I don’t know if I like the bag better or the journal better. Both are fabulous!

I don’t subscribe to Globein, but it’s one of my favorites that you review. And I think this is the best one yet! I have a notebook like that made from horse poo. Amazing isn’t it?! Love the colors on the basket this month!
Ditto what Stacie said!!
I love that green bag! Better than the blue. 🙂
I really want that Shea mosquito repellant – how does it smell?? And I’d like to try that Moringa bar…
They have several cute variations on the back pack, I wonder how many different are being sent. I signed up for the mini version to try this sub out, I hope I get one in my basket. I would have loved the full version you received.
I can’t wait to hear what the basket includes! I hope it’s a cute backpack!
I LOVE my subscription to GlobeIn! I highly recommend it to anyone who may be on the fence about getting one or anything from GlobeIn! All of their products are amazing!
