Love With Food July 2015 Tasting Box

Love With Food sends members a curated box filled unique gourmet food items. The “Tasting Box” is $9.99/month and offers with 8+ snacks and the “Deluxe” box is $19.95/month and includes 16-20 snacks. Love With Food also offers a Gluten-Free box for $24.99/month which includes 8-12 surprise gluten-free snacks each month. Each box brings new delights, with bites that vary based on seasonal themes. In addition, Love With Food donates a meal (some months they actually donate two meals) to a child in need with each box purchased, which you can read more about here.  This review is on the July Tasting Box.

The Box

Love With Food ships via USPS. Boxes typically ship on the 10th of the month and take a week or so to arrive.

First Look

I still am amazed by how many snacks Love With Food fits in their boxes.  The boxes are small (I was surprise at how small they are the first time I got a box), but they pack them FULL!

The Information Card

The July 2015 Love With Food theme was Surfin’ USA and included the following items:

~Kids’ Organic Sour Citrus Chews by Honey Stinger: These are so good. I’d describe them as gummies, but are a little more solid (?) than a regular gummy.  Everyone here loves them and I will for sure be ordering more.

~Coconut Almond Curry Granola by Bear Naked: I like granola, but not quite to the level that subscription boxes like granola.  This will head to work with B for a snack.

~Simply Toasted Crunchy Coconut Chips by Bare Snacks: These are really tasty in salads, but I generally don’t grab them for a snack on their own.  The Bare website shows them on a grilled cheese sandwich which I actually think sounds delicious.  I never would have tried that on my own, but a little crunch on a grilled cheese sounds great!

~Gum Pops by Glee Gum: WB saw this and needed to try it immediately.  I knew he would never get far enough into it to get to the gum, so I happily let him have it.  And he loved it. It’s flavored with pure cane sugar and natural citrus peels.

~Hawaiian BBQ by One Potato Two Potato: L loves BBQ chips so I put these in his snack box.  I have had them before and like that they aren’t super salty.  They are also GMO-free!

~True Lemon, True Lime, True Orange and True Grapefruit by True Citrus: I like to flavor my water with real fruit better, but in a pinch these work.  They’d be good on road trips or yes, at the beach when you don’t necessarily have the ability to tote around fresh fruit and keep it chilled all day.

~Lemon Almond Biscotti by Biscotti Di Suzy: Lemon biscotti is so good!  And it’s something that I don’t buy on my own, so it’s a great treat.  It’s got flavors of vanilla, almond and, of course, lemon.

~Blueberry Acai Flax Oatmeal Fruit Squeeze by Munk Pack: L is the only one in the house who enjoys pouches like this. I don’t know what he will think of the oatmeal flavor, but I’ll find out in the morning.  Now WB would have loved this when he was a baby (he was a pouch addict), but has outgrown his love for them.

~Coupons: This month’s box also included an assortment of coupons – including one for a free Lean Cuisine entree!

Coupons

I never do a cost breakdown on this box, but this month included 8 snacks for $9.99, plus all those coupons which I think is a great deal!  The Today Show just did a story on the founder of Love With Food so make sure to check it out.  I thought it was really interesting!
