My July 2015 POPSUGAR Must Have Box is here! POPSUGAR Must Have Box was the very first box I ever subscribed to (way back when they started launched in Summer 2012) and I have been a subscriber ever since.
If you aren’t familiar with them, POPSUGAR Must Have Box is an exciting monthly box full of fun, must-have picks across fashion, beauty, home decor, fitness, and more, which is delivered to your door on a monthly basis. Boxes include full-size products and premium items including tried-and-true classics, celebrity favorites, and brands consumers have yet to discover worth over $100!
POPSUGAR Must Have Box ships via FedEx Smart Post. I think this box took just about five days to arrive. My box doesn’t make as many stops as it used to, so I think FedEx Smart Post must have streamlined their shipping route a little.
As usual I peeked at spoilers before this box arrived (I don’t think I have ever been spoiler free for POPSUGAR), but I just can’t resist knowing what is coming in this box.
The July 2015 POPSUGAR Must Have Box was inspired by “Beach Days”, “Easy Travel”, “Summer Heat”, “Fourth of July”, and “Stripes” and included the following items:
~Henri Bendel Signature Stripe Canvas Dopp Kit ($28): I love this! It’s a great size and would be in ideal carry-on item fro summer traveling. It’s big enough to sit all your essentials (well depending on how many essential you need I guess), but still compact enough not to weigh down your bag. The inside is water-resistant which is awesome because you don’t have to worry about this bag getting wrecked when something leaks.
~Supergoop Defense Refresh Setting Mist SPF 50 ($28): I just received a sample of this in this month’s Allure Beauty Box and thought it was genius. Getting the full-size in here is awesome. This is a setting spray that seals in your “face” while also providing SPF50 protection. It controls oil and shine and makes sure your makeup doesn’t slide off your face in the hot sun. What makes it extra nice is that you can spray it on any time during the day since it’s designed to go on over your makeup!
~Sorial Card Case ($28): I have a few small clutches that this will work perfect in. I usually just throw my id and a credit card and cash or whatever in loose, but having them all in one place would (obviously) be better. This isn’t something I would have purchased on my own for $28 (also what’s up with the $28 price point of the first three items?), but since it’s in the box I will happily utilize it. Also included was a $25 gift code for Sorial.com, but I doubt I will use that. There’s nothing under (or even that close to) $25 so I would have to spend money to use it.
~PopDental Portable Toothbrush ($19.99): I think this is the item I am most excited about in this box. Subscription boxes don’t generally include a lot of toothbrushes but they are always needed. I am probably going to have to trade for another of these because I know B is going to be jealous.
~Yes to Blueberries Cleansing Facial Wipes ($5.99): Yes To aren’t my absolute favorite facial wipes, but I do buy them on occasion and they do come in very handy for traveling. Very handy. If you don’t want to use them on your face, use them as hand wipes instead. I have been known to do that in a pinch!
~The Good Bean Fruit & No-Nut Bar, Chocolate Berry ($1.99): I have gotten these in a few boxes here and there and think they are okay. Not amazing, but good. I like the chunks of chocolate in this one, but I agree with some people (on MUT maybe) who said POPSUGAR used to send better snacks!
~Special Extra: Hallmark Signature Greeting Cards ($14.97+): OMG didn’t expect these to be so fabulous! I think there were a variety of cards sent out, but I haven’t seen any that I didn’t like. I LOVE the assortment I received and will totally be checking out the signature line from Hallmark. These cards are gorgeous. Totally right up there with, say, PAPYRUS.
All totaled I came up with a value of $126.94 for the July 2015 POPSUGAR Must Have Box! You know, I really liked this box. I thought it was super practical and it really did fit this month’s “inspiration”. I know some people don’t think it hit the “Fourth of July” one, but I am guessing that’s the red (card case), blue (blueberry wipes) and white (Supergoop!) color scheme of the box.
What do you think of the July box? If you sign up now you can begin your subscription with this July 2015 POPSUGAR Must Have Box (until it sells out). I will be using the Supergoop every day!
I am intrigued by the Supergoop. But I am concerned about getting sufficient coverage with it. Since you are supposed to use 1/2 tsp or something like that of regular sunscreen (which I actually tried once and man it seemed like a lot of sunscreen!), I wonder how well the spray covers? I know at a minimum it would be great to apply over makeup during midday though since I don’t want to use regular sunscreen at that point.
This is a great box! I have to say, you should think about getting something from Sorial with your GC. I know you’d have to spend money, but they’re purses are SO NICE! One of my favorite brands.
I do have the blue one from the other PS box!
I loved the dopp case. I instantly filled it with my makeup.
The setting mist works great. I used it before a pool party, however, i will say, i cover my hair with a towel before spraying. The first time when i tested it, it got in my hair and made it very tacky and I had to wash it. Which is fine, because i was just testing it.
The toothbrush, yes! Huge hit everyone wants one. I will try to trade for more too.
I really enjoyed this box.
The Allure booklet mentioned making sure you covered your hair up too! For the exact reason you said!
I actually used the Dopp case as a clutch this weekend. It went perfectly with my outfit. So cute.
That’s a cute idea!!!
I love it! I’ve been very happy with Popsugar these past few months. The cards are so much better than I expected, too. Really excited about the Supergoop, I’ve been needing something like this.
WAY better than expected! They are so cool!
Great box! I wonder if PS feels limited with their snack options because of so many complaints from people with allergies, etc. I feel like you’re never going to please everyone & people can certainly give away a snack if they can’t have it.
That’s a good question! I miss the crispy cake and chocolate bar snacks!
I loved this box! I was so happy to get this before going on a big trip. The toothbrush and wipes are coming with me, as is the candy bar. I think Popsugar has been aiming for “healthier” snacks but I personally like indulgent treats better. I’m ok with even getting more popcorn.
totally love everything in this box!
I like the hallmark cards you got!!! I HATE the ones I got. They are all frufru looking and I am not a frufru kind of woman! *sigh*
This was my second box & I’ve loved both. Opening my box is like opening a birthday gift. I also enjoy your reviews so thank you. I know I’m not going to use the Supergoop (am I the only one?!!) I’m happy to trade, anyone interested?
This was far from being one of my favorite boxes, but I will use everything in it. I always like that I get to try new things that I may or may not want to buy again. The toothbrush will be perfect for me to take on an upcoming trip. I use the “Yes To’ wipes but never this one, maybe I’ll like this better so for those not happy, for me it’s just a chance again, to try something new. The rest is “meh” for me but all usable.
Wow, super impressed with this box after all! It was a good birthday month *-*
Did you know Papyrus is owned by American Greetings out of Cleveland OH? My friend writes for their Just Wink line…those cards can be a riot!
