Prize Candle Mystery Box
Cost: $69.99/One-Time Purchase (no longer available)
Ships To: United States
Coupon Code: N/A
A few weeks back Prize Candle offered a one-time only Mystery Box. It was $69.99 and promised to include 6 assorted candles (I opted for an additional add-on candle for $9.99 I believe) plus bonus mystery items. If you aren’t familiar with them, Prize Candles are all natural soy wax candle in fragrances that will enhance your environment with the added bonus of a prize in every candle!
My Prize Candle Mystery box shipped via USPS and took just a few days to arrive to me.
Prize Candle packages everything very securely and I wasn’t worried at all when I opened the package.
The box didn’t include an information card, but it included a packing slip which detailed all of the scents included. My Prize Candle Mystery Box (plus one candle add-on) included the following:
~Citrus Blossom, Provence Lavender & Ski House: Of these three scents, Citrus Blossom was my favorite. And that actually happened to be the one I added on to this shipment. But to be real, I love the all. They make such fun gifts.
~Cabana and Tahitian Vanilla Candles: These are scents I for sure would have picked up on my own. I actually may have bought one of these in a previous order actually.
~Charm Candles (Island Escape & Italian Leather): I didn’t realize it, but in addition to the traditional Prize Candles (which include rings), they also offer Charm Candles. These include – you guessed it – charms. You can see it in the top picture but the bonus gift was actually a little charm bracelet. It actually looked to me like a chain you’d find on a key ring and not really a bracelet, but it was a bonus gift and I probably wouldn’t wear it regardless so it’s okay.
How it Works
One you start burning the candle it will take a while for the “prize” to appear. It’s always on the edge of the candle and not in the middle so it makes it fairly easy to spot.
Once enough of the wax in the candle melts I usually pull out the prize with a pliers or a pair of scissors. It makes a bit of a mess, but it’s easy to clean. All prizes are inside of a plastic bag which is inside of the plastic case you can see in the candle.
Each prize comes with a code you can enter online at Prize Candle to check out the value of your ring (or charm as the case may be). I believe this was a $10 ring, but I have gotten $25 and $50 ones in the past. And really, I sometimes like the $10 ones better than the $50 ones.
The Prize Candy Mystery Box is now sold-out, but Prize Candles are available anytime! And make sure to signup for their mailing list because they often send out details on sales and hopefully they will do another Mystery Box!
