I had only gotten a glimpse at one item for this box, so opening it was a surprise.  I wasn’t in love with last month’s box, but this one looked good!

The Information Card

The July 2015 Treatsie included the following:

~Shotwell Candy Trail Mix Tennessee Toffee: There is a lot happening in this toffee.  It is made by slow cooking butter and pure cane sugar until golden brown and then adding nuts and sunflower seeds, along with dried cherries and raisins.  It’s different and I could really taste the cherries in it.  If I had to choose between this and regular toffee though, I would go for the plain.

~Wackym’s Kitchen Salted Caramel Cookies & Margarita Cookies: Salted caramel cookies?  Uhh, YES!  They are Wackym’s Kitchen’s most popular flavor and I can see why.  You get the perfect amount of caramel and salt in every bite.  They are crunchy and delicious.  The Margarita ones were also good, but I couldn’t get over the amazingness of the salted caramel.  You need a glass of milk with these though.

~Anya’s Licorice Cherry, Strawberry and Mango: These (to me) are more fruit leather than licorice.  But whatever you want to call them, they are good.  Better than I anticipated.  They are made with no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives, no high fructose corn syrup and 100% natural ingredients.  L was a fan of these too and I am hoping I can find somewhere local that carries them because we need more.

I was much happier with this month’s box than I was with June’s.  These items were fun to sample and we discovered a few favorites in here.

    Hi Jennifer,

I’m so happy that you enjoyed our licorice! Thank you! Unless you live in Brooklyn, they aren’t available locally, yet. We just launched a few months ago but we’re working hard to get them there.

    Cheers,
    Anya
