Two questions today…

1. What is your favorite “quick serve” restaurant? I’m talking somewhere in between Fast Food (McDonald / Burger King) and a sit-down restaurant (like Cheesecake Factory). My favorite are Potbelly, Piada and Salad Creations. All are chains (franchises), but I don’t think they all over the country?

2. Would you ever consider living in a “Tiny House”? My parents have gotten me hooked on the TLC show Tiny House Hunters and it’s fascinating. I always love those tiny spaces they put together in the showrooms at IKEA too. But could I actually LIVE in a tiny house? I don’t know. *Maybe*. Maybe if it was somewhere absolutely fantastic that we could have a lot of outdoor space too? I just don’t know!  I do like having my own space so it would be a huge adjustment.

I would LOVE to live in a tiny house! But I think I could only hack it as a vacation home, like having it somewhere where the point was you were out of doors all day or there was lots of other things to do. It would probably be a very affordable vacation home! 🙂

Cosi! I love their flatbread and their new chia shots are SO good.

I don’t think I could ever do the tiny house thing (even though I feel like my house now is tiny!) Maybe as a vacation house sure…but I have too much stuff and I’m not sure I could part with it all!

We really like Panera Bread. And I loooooove Qdoba Mexican Grill.
I would live in a tiny house in a heartbeat if I didnt have kids. I need my space and they need theirs. And I find with more space, the easier it is to keep the house looking tidy. But if I lived on my own, I would have a tiny bungalow on the beach or maybe I would have two tiny houses haha one in the mountains one on the beach. And with the money I save on taxes and not owning a huge house i would use to travel to BIG places!

I like Newk’s Eatery, they have the best soups, sandwiches, and salads! They’re similar to McAllister’s Deli, but different.
There is no way I could live in a tiny house. Try living in a camper trailer for more than a week and you’ll get tired of the cramped space REAL quick! If we had a lake lot to put a cabin on for weekend trips and whatnot, that would be an option, but not for our primary residence.

I love Zoe’s Kitchen, but it is not everywhere either.
I think that the tiny house movement is great in theory, but I am not sure I could do it.

KFC or Popeye’s! I love their fried chicken and their biscuits! Mmmmmm. We rarely eat there so when we do it’s a real treat.

I don’t think I would mind living in a tiny house if we had lots of space outdoors. I think I could live in one happily for some time with just me and my dogs, lol. If I add in the husband I would need more space. I agree with the others that it would be ok for vacation!

    1. We don’t have any of those where I live! Haven’t heard of them even. Though I stalked all their locators and it seems there is a Potbelly about 40 minutes from me. Might have to check it out! I like Panera a lot, but honestly anyplace that serves soup in a bread bowl is pretty a-ok with me. Chipotle too, but there isn’t one close to me. We don’t have many chains around here, but we do have this place called the Whole Enchilada which is DELICIOUS. It’s Mexican (if you couldn’t gather) and is quick, but really healthy food. It’s not super greasy and is made from all fresh ingredients. Yum!
    2. I’m not sure I could do it. I love shopping, and if I lived in a tiny home, I’d have no place to store my clothes and shoes! Though, I suppose if I could have a closet space separate from the tiny house… Then I might be down! I mean, I hate cleaning, so the idea of a small living space is awesome in that respect.

Portland has a “hotel” of tiny houses called Caravan! We walked past it while exploring the Alberta Arts District. It would make a fun weekend getaway to test one out.

We don’t really eat out much, but when we do, it’s usually local. Filiberto’s or Julioberto’s, both Mexican food chains.

I could never live in a tiny house. We lived in a 700sqft condo for like 8 years and that was too small. A vacation house, maybe, but we have a camper for that. 🙂

    1. Favorite quick serve is Panera Bread

    2. Tiny House : I have seen the show and while they seem intriguing I don’t think I could live there at all it would drive me nuts since I’m always cooking and baking plus with 2 hyper dogs no.

My house is a tiny house, but not quite a “tiny house.” It’s 800 square feet (palatial compared to the ones on tv). In my late 20s–when thoughts real estate started creeping into my my mind–I knew I wanted something small. I imagined a studio apartment with no neighbors and that’s exactly what I found. A cottage on a 1/2 acre lot. Cleaning it takes 30 minutes and a good spring cleaning takes about 4 hours if you include cleaning the fridge. I hate to clean and love to travel–mortgage payments could not get in the way of travel plans. I paid it off in 7 years. When I married my husband, we decided to move to his MUCH larger home, but to keep mine since it was almost paid for…. After 3 years of constant house cleaning, a massive, landscaped yard that took a minimum of 12 hours a week in the summer and only one vacation during those years, we sold his and moved to the little one. We make great use of the space, travel often and both of us had the freedom to change careers because we don’t owe anything. We don’t have children, but he’s 6’7 and our Australian Shepherd takes up the space of a Great Dane haha. We entertain often & it doesn’t feel cramped. We love it.

    1.) I ?? In-n-Out and Taco Bell. Yum!!
2.) I could not live in a tiny house. I love having lots of space. I have 2 kids, a 2.5 year old and 3 month old and our 2300 sq foot house seems too small sometimes.

I hit up the Chick-fil-A drive-through just about every day– really like their Iced Tea, and OK, their Waffle Fries are pretty good too! I have 2 pianos (and a son, a hubby, and 2 cats, and Tons of books among other things!) so the tiny house thing would never work for me eve though I love cozy spaces– plus, I don’t know how it can even be considered by anyone who gets sub boxes! Our “guest room” is known as the warehouse because of the towers and piles of boxes…

I like Panera’s salads! And a sandwich shop only in GA/MI called Momma Goldberg’s. My bf used to be a manager for a Potbelly in MI but there’s none here in GA..it sounds really good, though!

I’m claustrophobic so a tiny house wouldn’t work for me. Like you said, maybe if it was on a lot of land. But I love the idea behind it! If I could downsize and fit my life in a tiny house, I’d do it.
