bookroo August 2015 Subscription Box Review
bookroo August 2015 Subscription Box

bookroo is a monthly subscription box for kids. The Box is intended to be an inexpensive way for parents to grow their child’s personal library of books. Boxes with picture books come with 2 books. Boxes with board books come with 3 books.

The Box

bookroo ships via USPS at the beginning of the month and you can expect to revive your box by mid-month.

First Look

bookroo doesn’t include an information card, but I wasn’t even thinking about that when I opened the box. I was just thinking about how cute the wrapping was on it.  All books arrive wrapped which I think is adorable!  Here are the books I received:

~Pirate Nap – A Book of Colors by Danna Smith ($12.33): I’d like to read this to my little pirates to prepare for nap, but no one around here naps anymore ;(. It’s a still a super adorable book though (and even better than that, it’s one we don’t already have) and the boys loved it.

~Hugless Douglas and the Big Sleep-Over by David Melling ($11.43): I am not familiar with the Hugless Douglas series, but from the looks of it, it’s super cute.  The artwork is great as well and the pictures made us laugh.

All totaled I came up with a value of $23.76 value for the August 2015 bookroo box!  I thought this was awesome.  I have been wanting a children’s book box and here it is!  The packaging is adorable and I was impressed with the value on it. It’s hard to beat Amazon book prices which is what I used in my calculations.
