Cannonball Collective is your ongoing resource to discover, learn, shop, and share. Each quarter, Cannonball Collective serves up a curated collection of goods and inspiration delivered straight to your doorstep. Each Kit is chock full of the products and inspiration you need to try a new experience for yourself and have some fun along the way… it’s like a magazine that comes to life.
Cannonball Collective ships on a quarterly basis. Boxes are shipped during the last week of the quarter and you can opt in or out by the first day of the new quarter. I *believe* that this is the Spring shipment, but I am not 100% clear on that.
The packaging on this one was fantastic. It was impressive to open and I loved how everything was packaged in a reusable tin.
The Spring 2015 Cannonball Collective theme was “Torn & Frayed” and included the highest quality tools and textiles from around the world to help you revive your old denim and sweaters.
The Cannonball Collective information booklet includes a detailed description of everything in box along with how it is used.
The booklet also includes examples and instructions on how to use the items in your kit. The “‘zine” is something you’d want to save and keep and as a reference for the future. It’s packed with fun stories, images and details on the kit.
The Materials
The kit included MOCO thread in three colors, Merchant & Mills scissors, pins and a thimble along with an assortment of reversible fabrics. I haven’t figured out quite yet what I want to use these on so I still haven’t used my kit. I may end up trying it out on some of L’s old clothes just to see how they turn out. If they are cool, WB can wear them. If they aren’t, no big deal.
I didn’t do a cost breakdown on Cannonball Collective, but I wouldn’t call it a “value” subscription. Meaning that you probably aren’t going to save any money from subscribing (although future boxes may prove me wrong). I think Cannonball Collective is more of an experience and would be a gift you’d send to the person who has everything and always looking for fresh and new things.
