The Information Card

The January 2016 Beauty Box 5 theme was “Ev’rythang Done” and included the following items:

~Bodipure Keratin Gloves ($4.79): These gloves are designed to strengthen nails, moisturize hands, & soften cuticles. I will be using them the next time I do a polish change. I thought maybe they were to be worn overnight, but it’s only 15-20 minutes.

~Nails, Inc. Nail Polish (Sloane Mews) (10mL) ($9.99): It looks like Nails, Inc. has changed their packaging and while we received the older style I don’t mind a bit. I love dark polish colors like this. Nails, Inc, polishes are free from Parabens, Sulfates, Synthetic Fragrances, Phthalates, GMOs and Triclosan, but I did feel like this had a stronger than normal scent. Not sure if it was just me, but I noticed.

~Scratch Custom Accent Nail Wraps ($6): These are wild! The information card suggests using them over (dried) dark polish and then applying a clear topcoat over that to make them last longer.  I was personally thinking about using them as more of a stencil to get some cute shapes on my nail?

~Novex Bamboo Sprout Deep Conditioning Treatment (30g) (~$0.50): I am not sure if this is considered a one-time use, but I will only get one use out of it. You apply it to your hair (middle to ends) and them leave on for 15 minutes.  It leaves your hair softer than ever!  I have used this in the past and it’s a quick way to give your hair a boost.

~Not Your Mother’s Haircare Plump for Joy (60mL / 2oz) ($1.19): This spray can be used on wet or dry hair to give it an extra boost of volume.  I thought it smelled great, but don’t know how much extra volume I got. I did notice extra shine and texture though.

~Salon Grafix Hair Spray (1.5oz / 43g) ($1.05): I wasn’t wowed by this, but I wasn’t disappointed either. It’s listed as a bonus item on the card and will be nice for traveling.

All totaled I came up with a value of $23.52 for the January 2016 Beauty Box 5. It wasn’t a “wow” but I thought it had a fun assortment of items and really did have something for everyone.
