Citrus Lane August 2015 Subscription Box (5 Year-Old Boy) + Coupon Code

Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription box for children from 0 to 5 years old which contains four or more products selected especially for the age and stage of your child. It’s $29/month, but the price decreases to $24.95 with a 6-month subscription.  I receive a box for WB (boy) who is 3 and a box for a 5 year-old boy as well.  This review is on the 5 year-old boy box.

The Box

Citrus Lane ships via FedEx Smart Post and takes about a week to arrive.  They ship on (or slightly before) the 15th of the month and I generally expect to receive my box by the 20th of the month.

First Look

I thought this was a great first look! What’s even better was that our 3 year-old box also arrived today and contained totally different items.  Lately they have been the same and I don’t always love that.

The Information Card

The August 2015 Citrus Lane box included some items to help you prepare for back to school.  Our 5 year-old boy box contained the following items:

~Splash Letters from Janod ($15): This set contains 52 letters – two of each.  Most letter sets I have come across only have one of each letter so this is great.  Both WB and L can use this set to practice spelling and forming words.  Hopefully it helps WB learn to write his name (or at least spell it) too.

~Pop-Out + Color from Petit Collage ($11): How fun is this?  It’s a pop-out coloring puzzle!  You can decorate it (the set includes crayons and stickers) and then build it.  It’s supposed to rain tomorrow and I know the boys will love to work on this.

~Sandwich Bag from Bumkins ($4.99): This was our customization option this month. We have a few snack bags similar to this, but they are getting too babyish for the boys (well that’s what they think anyway).  This batman one will be great in the car and for the park.

~Juicy Water from Good 2 Grow (~$2): The boys go CRAZY for these.  I think it’s because they don’t get them often, so it’s a huge special treat when they do.  Anytime they get to pick out a drink at the gas station or party store is a huge event.  This juice contains no added sugar and no artificial color, flavors or preservatives.

~Subscriber Discount from Gathered Table: Gathered Table is a service that sends customized weekly meal plans, grocery lists, and optional grocery delivery.  I doubt I will use it, but the offer included is for 40% off an annual subscription.

All totaled I came up with a value of $32.99 for the August 2015 Citrus Lane box.  I gotta tell you, I loved this box. I thought everything was a great pick for both boys and I didn’t see any repeats from previous years in here which made me happy as well!
