DoodleBug Busy Bags is a monthly craft subscription for kids ages 3 – 9. DoodleBug Busy Bags keep little hands busy and little minds active. Each month your child will receive a bag of 4 – 8 curated crafts, often centered on a holiday or seasonal theme, and all the supplies your child needs to complete each activity. Once completed, the crafts may be used as learning tools, decorations, toys, or given away as gifts. DoodleBug Busy Bags are fun, easy to complete, and help develop motor skills, creativity, hand-eye coordination, and confidence.
DoodleBug Busy Bags ships via USPS between the 1st – 8th of every month. If you sign up on or before August 17, your first DoodleBug Busy Bag will ship between September 1st – 8th. If you sign up after August 18, your first DoodleBug Busy Bags will ship between October 1st – 8th.
WB was sitting next to me when I opened this and was practically crawling over me to get all everything.
The August 2015 DoodleBug Busy Bags theme was “Zoo” and included the following items:
~Zoo Animal Sticker Sheet / Zoo Animal Slap Bracelet / Mini Zoo Animal Coloring Book Set & Animal Finger Puppets: These were the items WB was mainly after in the package. I think he liked the snap bracelet the best, but he thought the little finger puppets were cool too.
~Zoo Animal Necklace Craft Kit: WB wasn’t as interested in making this as he was wearing it. So I made it (the instructions were very easy to follow) and he took off with it.
~Paper Plate Zoo Animal Craft Kit: I put this project away to work on later. All of the pieces have a strip of tape on the back so you can peek and stick. We’ll work on this one on the next rainy day.
~Animal Mask: Ha! This was ready to wear and WB wore it well. I couldn’t stop laughing at him in this and he laughed when he caught a glimpse of himself in the mirror!
~Eric Carle’s 1,2,3 to the Zoo Number Craft Kit: This was another item WB was after from this package. The idea is to glue the train cars on the banner paper in order. WB wasn’t interested in following the rules though and just lined them up any which way he wanted. He loved them though.
~Zoo Animal Magnet Craft Kit: This was another one that we are going to save for later. It won’t take long to complete, but it will be a good transitional project for WB.
The box also included a tote to put all your projects / activities. I didn’t do a cost breakdown on this box, but we had fun with it. I would have liked to see more projects to work on in here, but that’s strictly a personal preference.
