GLOSSYBOX August 2015 Subscription Box

GLOSSYBOX is a monthly beauty subscription box and includes five luxury surprise beauty items shipped to your door.   I have been a subscriber for years and am always in awe at the value they pack into their boxes.

GLOSSYBOX ships via USPS and generally boxes ship in the second half of the month.  Sometimes it’s the last week of the month, sometimes it’s closer to the 20th of the month and sometimes, like this month, it’s way early! I generally plan on it arriving later in the month though so if it arrives earlier it’s just a great surprise.

GLOSSYBOX has the absolute best packaging.  Their boxes are sturdy and reusable and everything is neatly wrapped and tied with a bow.

The August 2015 GLOSSYBOX included the following items:

~GlamGlow YouthCleanse Daily Exfoliating Cleanser ($7.80): Anytime GLAMGLOW appears in a subscription box I am happy.  This starts out as a smooth mud (much smoother than their masks) and then turns into a foam when wet.  I have used it a few times so far and have been happy with the results.  I might actually pick up a full-size of this one.

~Sparitual Nail Lacquer (I Feel the Earth Move) ($12): I actually have enough nail polish to last me a lifetime (more than a lifetime actually), but I change my polish color at least twice a week and I love picking through all my polishes and selecting a color. GLOSSYBOX sent out 8 different shades of this polish (which is free of harmful chemicals) to subscribers.  I like the fall’s shade I received and always think the coverage on SpaRitual products is great.

~MANNA KADAR Cosmetics Lash Prime ($11): This primer acts as a base to help with flaky lashes.  I feel like this isn’t something that you’d need with a really good mascara, but if you are still searching for that perfect for you mascara, this is worth a try.

~Lollipops Paris Lip Balm (Delicieuse) ($5.50): LOVE.  I need to find out where I can get more of this.  It’s clear and glossy and smells like cupcakes!

~POP Beauty Kajal Pen in Sooty Black ($10): This is probably the item I am least excited about in the box, but that’s only because I don’t wear a ton of eyeliner.  It seems like a great liner (it went on evenly and smoothly) and I love that it includes the smudging tool on the other end so I am sure one of my friends will be super happy with it.

All totaled I came up with a value of $46.30 for the August 2015 GLOSSYBOX. That is actually a bit on the low side for GLOSSYBOX, but it is still over double the cost of the box. Plus, with the exception of the eyeliner I will use everything in here which is always a win.

What do you think of this month’s GLOSSYBOX so far?  Just a reminder, GLOSSYBOX has been sending out variations in boxes the last few months so don’t be surprised if your box is a little different than this one. As of right now the August GLOSSYBOX is still available and new customers can use coupon code “BRUSHUP” to get a free Doucce Soft Touch Kabuki Brush in their first GLOSSYBOX ($19 Value)!

If you are a costco member, you will find the glamglow at a good discount on their website.

Do they have the cleanser? I know I have seen the mask there, but I didn’t know the cleanser was there too! I have scored the mask a few times at TJ Maxx too!

I’ve been a subscriber off and on to Glossybox, and I feel that it’s very hit or miss. I either absolutely love the box, or I feel I’ve been completely gypped. I really don’t like that, I like consistency! I’m currently trying to make a decision on my subscriptions, and I’m very torn!! My first TestTube was amazing, but I don’t like how the billing works. I don’t like paying for shipping, I don’t like that it’s not a set date each month, and it is a bit pricey! My first tube had a $53 brush, and I thought I had found my match.. Following tubes (and the inconsistent billing, paying shipping etc.) just seemed to make it not worth it most of the time. I love the boxes that the Glossybox arrive in! The are awesome for reusing. It’s just either an excellent box or a waste of money (IMO). Birchbox is great for the price, and I love buying my regular items for points…but I’m becoming less enthused each month. Their customer service is great, I just can’t seem to let go! Ipsy is another I can’t seem to bring myself to cancel. It seems more times than not I’m not super excited with my bag, but the perks seem to even it out… I would rather pay a higher monthly price and get great items than paying $10/mo and not being excited. I’m looking to start either my Glossybox or TestTube subscription again, but I can’t decide which… If I do decide to do this, I’ll need to get rid of either Ipsy or Birchbox (which as I said before, Birchbox customer service is so awesome, I don’t think I can leave them!!)… Are there any that are close to these that I haven’t tried? I really want to get it narrowed down to either just my 2 $10/mo subscriptions & one higher end, or just Birchbox and a higher end. I just want to find one that’s fairly consistent with the average monthly value. Thanks! ? xoxo

Some of the most popular and expensive fragrances for women are ‘Jasmin Noir’, ‘Omnia Green Jade’ and ‘Rose Essentielle’.
*Make a contact in your phone called ICE which stands for In Case
of Emergency and store at least two numbers of family members who
are not traveling with you. You would do the same if you were them, thus the space in between both parties would serve as a shield to minimize the effects
    of excessive cologne.

I’ve heard of it, Jennifer, but never tried it! Is it a flat $21? I’ll have to look at the reviews and see what kinds of items they put in their boxes! Thanks! Is that your referral link? Thanks!!

    1. Jennifer

$21 flat yes. No coupon codes on this one.

Does anyone know of any subscription coupons? Thanks! Sorry to comment so much! ?

This was the Glossybox that compelled me to cancel and subscribe to BoxyCharm. I agree that some GB are amazing, but the last several have not been for me. I am very happy with the August BoxyCharm (love that huge pallette!) and i hope they rock in the future.
