Linen Crate August 2015 "Powder Room" Subscription Box Review
Linen Crate August 2015 “Powder Room” Subscription Box

LinenCrate is a subscription based membership that allows you to receive a box of home linens valued at $150+. Each month features a different room in your house, beginning with the Bathroom/Powder Room (all subscribers will receive the Powder Room box as their first box regardless of when they subscribe). The Bathroom Box includes 6-9 Linens and Accessories curated for your bathroom based on your color/style preferences.

The Box

LinenCrate ships via FedEx and was super heavy. My first thought when I picked up the box was how much did it cost to ship this?  It was much heavier than your most other subscription boxes.

Second First Look

I have to admit, I was nervous about opening this one up.  I had looked at a few other boxes and and just didn’t know.  I was happily surprised with this first look though!  The box didn’t include an information card, but my August 2015 “Powder Room” LinenCrate included the following items:

~Kassatex Chevron Shower Curtain ($35): I actually have a glass shower door, but the kids have a bathtub / shower in their bathroom that this could work in.  Also, it’d work up-north.  Anyway, I really like this.  I was expecting to get something with animals on it, but I was thrilled when I saw this one!  Still, not everyone can use a shower curtain so I think they should allow you to note this in your preferences in your account.

~Kassa Design Luxury Bath Rug (24×40) ($29.99): This is a great color for the bathroom in my basement and I will be putting this down there ASAP.  Of all the bathrooms in the house it’s the least put together and could so use these.

Kassa Design Luxury Bath Rug (24×40)

~Kassa Design Luxury Design Bath Rug 20×32 ($24.99): Again this will be perfect for the basement bathroom.  It’s made with 100% Egyptian cotton and is very soft.  I usually buy my bath rugs from Target or TJMaxx/Home Goods and don’t think I pay $20-$30 for them, but if it’s in here I am happy to use it.

~Bath / Spa Set ($10): I estimated the price on these.  I will be putting them all in my shower immediately.  I could use some new puffs and scrubbies.

Bath / Spa Set

~The Deluxe Towel (~$9.99): I will use this towel in my basement bathroom for sure.  It’s the perfect color and perfect size. I was a little surprised by how it was frayed though.  I don’t know if it’s supposed it be like that though, because it still works.

~Kassatex Toothbrush Holder ($16), Soap Dispenser ($19) and Soap Dish ($12): I would have purchased these on my own! They are totally a style I would have picked out for myself and I am super happy with them.  They are high quality and will last for ages.  Or until I drop one ;).

Kassatex Toothbrush Holder, Soap Dispenser and Soap Dish

All totaled I came up with a value of $156.97 for August 2015 Powder Room LinenCrate.  That is pretty close to the stated value of $165 on the LinenCrate card in the box. Original subscribers were grandfathered in at a rate of $79, while new subscribers can purchase at a rate of $109/month.
