I will admit I peeked at spoilers for this one earlier today.  I was so excited to get this box and couldn’t resist.

The August 2015 Little Lace Box theme was “Elizabeth & Mr. Darcy” and included the following amazing and delightful treasures from all over the world for you and your home:

~The Elizabeth & Mr. Darcy Flower Vase from Mary Rose Young (~$94.07): LLB valued this vase at $124 on the information card which includes shipping from the UK.  I don’t ever include shipping in my calculations so I used the price from similar vases made by this artist and then applied the exchange rate.  I do this think vase is gorgeous and appreciate that it is hand crafted, but I was very surprised that it was so expensive. It’s fairly small (it’s slightly larger than a can of soda) so it’s really more of a bud vase. You for sure aren’t getting an entire bouquet of flowers in here.

~TheBouqs.com Flowers ($40): I love the Bouqs and think flowers is an ideal item for this theme. LLB wanted to send subscribers flowers from The Bouqs to arrive on the same day as their monthly boxes, but couldn’t because of their Privacy Policy (they can’t give out subscribers information to 3rd parties).  It’s probably better that we get to select our own Bouq anyway though so we can pick our favorite flowers and a perfect delivery date.

~DEFINEME by Jennifer McKay Newton (Clara) ($36): Clara has notes of lilac, violet, hibiscus, lily & musk. The fragrances are inspired by a new generation of women who are breaking molds and crushing barrier – just like Elizabeth Bennet did in her era.  Clara “attracts abundance by being grateful for the good in her life.”  It’s a gorgeous scent and I think the florals and musk are an amazing combination.  They do a great job of balancing each other out.

~“My Shea-Rona” Shea Butter by Little Lace Box (Lollabambooza) ($19.99): The shea butter represents the “smoothing over” that Mr. Darcy had to do when he let his pride get in the way of his relationship with Elizabeth.  I love reading the LLB information cards because I’ll look at a tub of lotion and think how in the world does this relate to this theme?  And then I read the card and it all comes together.  I can’t figure out exactly what this smells like, but I am getting some citrus and florals from it.  It’s thick and fabulous and I cannot wait to put in my feet before bed tonight!

All totaled I came up with a value of $190.06 for the August 2015 Little Lace Box.  My feelings on this one are mixed.  On one hand I like and will easily use everything in here, but on the other hand I wish they would have included a larger (less expensive) vase plus maybe another item.  Still, the value was fantastic and I am already excited for the October box!  Speaking of the October box, the theme is “Authentic Autumn – Be Your Authentic Self” and will feature a box full of wonderful items that will allow you to get creative and show your authentic self.

What did you think of this month’s Little Lace Box?  If you are interested in ordering you can head on over to their site and select the one-box option for $59.99 (does not renew without your permission).  Or you can get a 3 or 6 box subscription and use the coupon code “RAMBLIN10” to save $10 off your first month!
