Target “hello, Sunshine” Box Review

My Target “hello, Sunshine” Beauty Box arrived over the weekend! This Target Beauty Box was $7 (they are typically $5) and was available through Target’s website for a limited time only. The “hello, Sunshine” box was released on August 3rd and sold out the same day. I am not sure if there is any set schedule on when they release boxes, but they offered them in April, June, July and August of this year.  And, according to the Target website, another one will be available in September and will include fall must-haves.  These are NOT subscription boxes and must be purchased individually as they are released.

The Box

Target Beauty Box ships via USPS and arrived just a few days after I ordered it. I don’t think I received any tracking on this one – it just appeared in my mailbox.

Target Beauty Boxes are always very impressive to open. They put together an insane box for the price (which is why they always sell out so quickly).

The Information Card

The “hello, Sunshine” Target Beauty Box included the following must-have warm weather favorites:

~CoverGirl Super Sizer Mascara by Lashblast ($5.99): I am on mascara overload lately and as much as I want to open this out and test it, I just know it will end up going to waste (only because I have so many already opened ones). So instead I am going to keep it sealed and pass it on to one of my cousins.  It is supposed to get up to 400 perfect fuller lashes with the special brush / comb combo.

~Fekkai Pre-Soleil Hair Mist ($6.80): This spray works to protect your hair from the sun and the damage it can cause (like making your color fade).  It also makes it shiny and smells good which I love.

~Hair Food Moisturizing Mask ($11.99): This is a deep-cleansing mask that removes dulling residues to reveal luster and shine.  You only need to leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes so you can easily use it in the shower.  So far I have been happy with it and have been able to see a difference.  Also, this one smells incredible.  It has honey apricot fragrance and is amazing.

~Olay Active Botanicals Moisturizing Toner ($1.80): I need like toner is a complete necessity for me.  This isn’t my favorite toner (I thought it was a tad too gentle for my taste), but it will work in a pinch.

~Olay Active Botanicals Dry Lotion ($3.60): This lotion features hydra-complex and snow mushrooms (for real) to hydrate skin for up to 24 hours.  I was quite impressed by this and how quickly it absorbed into my skin.  I am going to see how I like for the next few weeks and may end up picking up a larger size of this.

~Crest 3D Whitestrips 1hr Express (Sample): I love Crest Whitestrips and have always been pleased with the results I have gotten from it. I will be using my coupon from this box ($3 off your $15+ Target Beauty purchase) for more.

All totaled I came up with a value of $30.18 for the “hello, Sunshine” Target Beauty Box.  I love these boxes and think they are well worth the price tag!  As I mentioned this box is now sold out, but I will post as soon as Target releases the September Fall Beauty Box!

I really love these Target boxes. I think they’re just such a great value! I wish they’d just make it a subscription already. But, I like that I’m seeing them more frequently. If they make it a monthly box, I’ll probably cut down on my subs and just get this, Birchbox, and Ipsy.

My order is still saying it’s processing. I hope it doesn’t end up like another spring box situation. My order that time got cancelled, so I really don’t want another cancellation. 🙁

I received mine on saturday. Purchased one for my coworker. I really like the hair mask as well.

I’m extremely picky when it comes to mascara, but I really like this one! The brush is a little flimsy but it made me eyelashes look long, full, and separated. I put it on this morning before work and they’re still going strong!

I actually didn’t notice that this was released until the day after since I was traveling last week and was able to get one. It came in the mail today. I was shocked!
