Wantable Makeup August 2015 Subscription Box Review
Wantable Makeup August 2015 Subscription Box

Wantable offers five different types of subscription boxes. This box is their makeup box, which includes 4 to 5 full-sized premium makeup products, hand-picked to perfectly match your preferences. They also offer intimates, fitness, style and accessories boxes, again customized to your preferences.  And unlike the majority of other subscription boxes, Wantable allows you to return the box if you aren’t totally 100% happy. They recently switched things up a little and allow you to return a portion of your box!  Wantable now lists “Your Price” on the information card along with the Retail Price so you can easily determine the amount of credit you will receive if you opt to return items.  If you end up keeping your entire box, a credit of $4 will be posted to your account – making your next box $36.

The Box

Wantable ships via DHL Global Mail and took just under a week to arrive.  Wantable (typically) ships at the same time each month based on when you originally subscribed.  So if you subscribed at the end of the month, your box will always ship at the end of the month.

Things looked pretty good in here!  It seemed to be a lot of new products for me to try.

Preferences

Like I mentioned before (and like I do every month), you can totally customize your Wantable box.  You fill out a questionnaire telling them what you Love, Like and Dislike.  You’ll get more of the things you Love, some of the things you Like and none of the things you Dislike.  It also asks about color preferences and that sort of thing.  I have had only Eyeliner as a Dislike for a while now and I have been pretty pleased with my boxes.  I do need to update my preferences now that they have added “Skincare” products to their line!  I am going to mark most of those with “Love” for next month!

The Information Card

My August 2015 Wantable Makeup Box contained the following items:

~MICA Beauty Mineral Eyeshadow (Sunset) (Retail Price: $14.95, Your Price: $8): This is bright!  I wish we had more sunsets of this color around here. As long as you don’t use a heavy hand to apply it, is really is pretty.  It’s kind of hard to get out of the little holes, so I recommend either popping that off or shaking it with the outer lid on to free some up before you apply.

~MOSI Mei Nail Polish (Passionate) (Retail: $15, Your Price: $8.50): MOSI Mei polishes are 5-free, vegan and cruelty free as well.  This is a metallic pink and goes on so smoothly and evenly. I absolutely love it.

~CATTIVA Divino Lash Mascara (Retail Price: $24, Your Price: $14.30): CATTIVA has the fanciest packaging.  I received a product from them last month and was thrilled to see another one again this month.  This mascara is good, but not my favorite.  It’s a tad dry, but I think it’s the brush I didn’t really like.  Still the packaging is so lovely that I will use all of this.

~OFRA Lipstick (Tropicana) (Retail Price: $13.15, Your Price: $7): Tropicana is the perfect description for this shade.  It’s not quite coral, not quite pink, not quite orange, it’s tropicana!  My SIL gets all my lipsticks so hopefully she loves this shade.

All totaled my August 2015 Wantable box had a value of $67.15.  Not a huge value, but I liked this box.  I do wish it would have had a 5th item.  I think that would have made it a stand-out box and been comparable to some of the boxes Wantable used to send out.

Do you subscribe to Wantable?  If so, what’d you get in your box (makeup, accessories, intimates, fitness or the new style edit) this month? And if you don’t subscribe, what are you waiting for? There is no risk involved so why not?
