bookroo is a monthly subscription box for kids. The Box is intended to be an inexpensive way for parents to grow their child’s personal library of books. Boxes with picture books come with 2 books. Boxes with board books come with 3 books.
bookroo ships via USPS at the beginning of the month and you can expect to revive your box by mid-month.
Could this first look be any cuter? Seriously. I absolutely love that they wrap up the books. I am super fascinated by the wrapping paper they used this month. It’s like stretchy and very difficult to rip. I need to find out who makes this and get some.
bookroo doesn’t include an information card, but WB and I didn’t mind. We were super happy just to open it up and see what was inside:
~What Am I – Frog & Friends by Joyce Wan ($6.29): Such a cute book and the illustrations are awesome. I read it to WB and then he “read” it to himself which I so enjoyed!
~Gideon It’s Play Time, Not Naptime by Olivier Dunrea ($5.94): Can I just say that it’s ALWAYS play time over here? Never naptime. Naps are such a thing of the past here. WB is basically Gideon and just goes and goes and goes until bedtime when he finally just gives in and passes out!
~A Book of Kisses by Dave Ross ($6.99): Aww, I love this book! It’s so sweet and WB is super affectionate so he just thinks it great.
All totaled I came up with a value of $19.22 for the September 2015 bookroo. It’s a few pennies less than the cost of the box, but I used Amazon prices (not retail prices) which are HARD to beat. Both WB and I loved this box!
