First Look

My September 2015 BOXYCHARM seemed to arrive later than normal this month so I pretty much already knew what it would include.  Sometimes there are variations in boxes, but I didn’t see any of that this month.

The Information Card

The September 2015 BOXYCHARM theme was “Runway Ready” and included the following items:

~Previse Skincare HydroMilk Hydrating Lotion (60mL / 2fl.oz) ($48): Previse Skincare hasn’t appeared in a ton of subscription boxes (I feel like I have only received one other product from them) so this is a new item for me.  It contains natural ingredients which helps improve your skin’s hydration & also fights free radicals.  It soaked into my SO FAST and made it feel extra smooth.  I’ve only used it a few times, but I am happy so far.

~Vasanti Professional Foundation Blush ($32): I actually can’t say that I have ever applied foundation with a brush?  Although, since the invention of BB cream I rarely wear foundation anyway.  The brush is said to give you a flawless, even & natural looking foundation application.  I will be passing this one on to one of my foundation loving friends.

~tarte skinny smolderEYES Amazonian Clay Waterproof liner (Full Size) ($19): Subscribers received either the skinny or regular version ($21) of this liner.  I didn’t have a preference on which I received because I knew I’d just be giving it to a friend anyway.  I did think it  applied smoothly and I liked the built in smudger on it.

~Chella Eyebrow Defining Gel (Full Size) ($18): All these eyebrow products are for giving me a complex!  Well, okay, not really, but has anyone else noticed how many we’ve gotten in subscription boxes lately?  It’s crazy!  That said though, this stuff is my favorite.  It’s easy to use and tames my brows nicely.

~Scratch Nails Lacework Nail Wraps ($12): Meh.  I normally like nail wraps, but I am not feeling these patterns at all.  The tan ones remind me of band aids and the lace ones remind me of, well, I don’t know but it’s not something I like.

~Kardashian Beauty Black Seed Dry Oil (0.5fl.oz) ($2.25): I’m not even sure I knew that the Kardashians had a hair line.  I should have figured though.  It smells good and left my hair smooth, without weighing it down. I can’t ask for much more than that.

The September 2015 BOXYCHARM had a value of $131.25 which is obviously amazing for a $21/month box.  I have to say though, this one wasn’t my personal favorite.  It was clearly worth the cost of the box (I mean that fabulous lotion alone is over double the cost), but there have been other boxes from them I have loved more.

I believe all of the boxes are sending out eyebrow makeup/tools now because it has cooled down and people can do their makeup without worrying about sweating off their eyebrows…that’s my theory anyways. I live in Florida and I wouldn’t do my eyebrows on days where it’s almost 100 degrees and 90 percent humidity!
